The hotel had just been bought out. The bathroom was not clean floors. The room was okay. Need to place people with children on bottom floor.

I Ubered straight from the airport on a late flight. Made sure this was a 24/7 hotel and made them aware I would check in late. Tiny vestibule was open, lobby was locked. Sign said “we will be back soon”. Standing alone in a sketchy part of town in an unlocked vestibule was not great. Called the hotel, they answered and just said ok. Thought that meant someone was headed to me. Waited 10 more minutes. Called again. Same person answered and was angry and said “ no one is coming to the front desk”. I asked how to get a refund and started worrying how I was going to an Uber and a different hotel at 1 in the morning. The person hung and walked around the wall-they had been there the whole time. They blamed me-“you should have come in”. Me-the door is locked. Them-you should have rung the bell. Me-the sign says don’t ring the bell we will be right back and I called you and actually spoke with you. Them-still your fault and you shouldn’t threaten refund. Room was dingy, outdated but not different than expected, tbh.
This place was so nasty and rundown. It also had roaches. I have never stayed somewhere so rundown and gross. Me and my husband had booked a two night stay. As soon as we got there we asked for another room because of the condition of the first room and the smell. They swapped us to a downstairs one which was almost as bad looking but had no smell. We asked for our money back for the first night so we could go somewhere else and was informed that due to the fact that we booked through booking the hotel would not do that. Hotels.com gave us the money back for the second night but wouldn't do anything about the 1st night. I contacted hotels.com at 6:30 A.M. and they cancelled the next night at which time the front desk attendant called us and asked us to vacate the room even though check out was suppose to be at 10:00 A.M. which we were glad to leave the roaches behind and couldn't sleep so we loaded our stuff back on our motorcycles and went to give them the room key back. The front desk clerk charged us a 20.00 cash fee for early check out... So stupid this was a terrible experience from now on we will book direct so we can leave when we get to a place that looks like this.. DON"T BOOK
BEDBUGS!!!! I was to stay a week could not complete stay because of bedbugs. First night there was dirty bed linen, dirty tub, rusty pipes in the bathroom so I spent the night in my truck. So I stayed in the hotel two nights of a 7 night reservation. No part of my stay was deemed refundable. Incredible! Uncooperative customer service!
For being a lower price hotel with minimal amenities, the staff were outstanding, especially with cleaning my room each morning. Front desk staff were friendly and available. Parking is the biggest downside.
First of all I asked for a room up front because I was traveling solo as a female and she put me in the very back where I guess ppl were living there they had chairs sitting outside and was drinking and smoking and was very loud housekeeping rolling carts all day making noise I guess they not use to black ppl.
