The staff was SO friendly! The hotel was right on the beach and so convenient to get to. The pool was beautiful and the rooftop bar was awesome. Highly recommend!!!!

Great location - nice staff BUT bathroom is dangerous- if you are old, young kid, have a sore knee or back, a little blind - be careful as getting in and out of bath is difficult. Also very loud n noisy from street, normally quite from 11.30pm. Central to cafe n bars.

Comfortable but things can be improved

Our stay was generally OK. The room was spotless, beds very comfortable, and amenities great. However, we were disappointed to be given a ground-floor room, which wasn’t indicated at booking. When we asked to move to the first floor, we were told we’d have to pay the difference. We found this odd – we’ve never had that happen at any other hotel. The rooms didn’t seem that different in value, so we declined, but it left a strange impression. It also felt like booking through Hotels.com put us at a disadvantage. The ground floor was very noisy at night – double glazing helped, but more could be done. Parking is as bad as advertised, so plan ahead and park elsewhere. Overall, clean and comfortable – but that’s about it.

This hotel is in the perfect location, we were only going to stay for a day and ended up staying for 4 days. At first we were concerned cause the first room (007) they gave us was on the ground floor and right beside the sidewalk (very close) where you could see and hear everyone walking by. We requested to be moved with no issue and got the 1st floor facing the dining area - much better. The rooms are on the smaller side but nice and clean. The staff are amazing and were so accommodating each time we extended. We loved Carvoeiro and this hotel would be our number one pick if we ever come back.

Lovely stay and superb location. Amazing breakfast - the best I have seen with everything fro fresh fruit to the best fresh squeezed OJ I’ve ever had. Great coffee, and a wide assortment of options. Room was comfortable and spacious. Rooftop bar had amazing views, and hotel was on the beach!

Wonderful spot. Great rooms. We had two single beds. Enough room to move about. Bathroom was very nice. Shower got water all over floor but most do nowadays, just be prepared for a soggy mat. Staff were great, very attentive. Loved that they were there 24 hours. It’s just steps away from the beach, walking trails, and great restaurants. We rented towels and an umbrella (broken but still worked), very convenient.

Generally this was an excellent hotel, with good service and facilities. The room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Our only serious criticism is that the pool, advertised as a feature of the hotel, was closed, although a notice stated that it was open in May. Work was being done, but nowhere near complete. No explanation or apology was forthcoming.

Fantastic views of the main square/beach, spacious rooms and friendly staff! Nearby to some amazing beaches and restaurants. Recommend walking to Restaurante Boneco Bar for food and drinks with unique cliff view and O Stop for small beach and cliff scenary.

Perfect location within seconds from the sand. So many dining options around the hotel, even an ice cream shop in the lobby area! Only complaint was waiting a while for a receptionist when trying to check-out. But the rest of the stay staff/receptionist was available and helpful. Loved the air conditioning and remote with it for the hot climate here. Not too jazzed about the shower situation as our room had a glass “wall” that didn’t close the shower off so water got everywhere, water pressure and heated flooring was great though! Would definitely stay here again, I love Carvoeiro!
