The property appears to be under renovation at the moment, which was not disclosed by Expedia. There were contractors in the corridors throughout the day. The staff were all very nice and helpful, but there were very few of them. At breakfast, the front desk staff was filling food at the breakfast buffet over 100 feet away and out of sight. At the same time, people were lined-up at the front desk waiting to check out. The hotel is next to the North Platte river and some parks which is very nice. The TV and Roku devices did not work in any of our rooms, and WiFi was no faster than using cellular data connectivity on our phones. That said, the amenities in the building were very reasonable for family travel. The restaurant was actually quite good, which was a pleasant surprise!

Worthy stay for the price

Staff was great. Hotel is being modernized and the atrium area with pool is nice. Room was comfy, and the bar/restaraunt were great! My only complaint was I had a room with a door to an adjoining room, and the guy in that room was on the phone for hours on end and I could hear every word said. The internet went out for a few hours, causing the cable tv apps to be out. Overall a good value.

This property looked great from the listing photos, but did not look or feel great when we arrived. Our room was cold and the blankets were scratchy, stiff, waffle-weave blankets. There were no other blankets. I honestly thought they had forgotten to finish making the beds based on the lack of blanketing. The door didn't feel like it latched securely, we could hear everything from the hallway, the plugs sparked when we plugged in our phone chargers, and the outlets, switches, tissue box holders in the bathroom were really rusty and partially painted over. The ceiling tiles in the hallway were really gross and needed replaced. Our room smelled VERY strongly of carpet glue. We just felt very uncomfortable there the entire time. Before I even commented on anything, my 14 year old son said it felt really creepy to him and he kept asking if he could just go sleep in the car. I felt the same and were glad we were just staying the one night. After we checked in and kids were asleep, I looked a bit closer at reviews and it really did feel like we were staying in a place that had been trashed and was being refurbished. We stayed in a different hotel a few days before in Casper, and it was cheaper and much better quality. I honestly felt tricked and deceived by the listing photos and the reviews I initially saw, compared to what we actually stayed in. On a positive note, continental breakfast was good and they had a pretty good variety of food options available.

Bad Timing

Sadly, the check-in process took over 30 minutes. Initially, I was placed in a room under construction, so they had to cancel the transaction and replace me in a new room. In the room, there were crumbs on the desk. The room temperature was 74°F, the AC was set at 66°F, and it never cooled off. The TV would not connect, so I could not watch TV. In the AM, the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. The restaurant had a fabulous menu. They offered a pool/hot tub, arcade, and free laundry. The price was excellent. It has tremendous potential to be an excellent hotel.

Casper is a small podunk town. Best restaurant in town at the hotel as many locals there to eat. Great hotel for basic bed and clean rooms at a cheap price.

We travel to Casper for business several times per year. For whatever reason hotels are very expensive in this town. I usually choose a Hilton or Hampton Inn type hotel for comfort and reliability. I decided to try this one because we needed 3 rooms and hotels were crazy priced last night. This hotel was literally 1/3 of the price and I felt we got a great value. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s older and going through some updating right now but it was affordable, had a clean hot tub and a typical hotel breakfast. This is our new choice for hotels in Casper.

Disappointing

Disappointing. After a 1,000 mile flight, 5 hrs of negotiations on a vehicle purchase, and a 300 mile from Denver, I was to fatigued to notice I was given a standard room…when I had Reserved a Suite…and still was charged for the suite. Don’t think I would stay at this hotel again. Not a good breakfast, juice machine produced colored water in the orange juice and cranberry dispensers, while the grape juice one was ok.
