Castaway Island Fiji offers 65 air-conditioned accommodations with safes and bathrobes. Rooms open to patios. These individually decorated accommodations have separate sitting areas. Refrigerators and coffee/tea makers are provided. Bathrooms include showers, slippers, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include irons/ironing boards and ceiling fans. This is the only hotel on an island about 1 1/2 hr ferry ride from the mainland. Snorkeling is on site; the rooms are beautiful. The staff is super friendly. Nanny service is affordable and a big plus. A few things that were not perfect: kids club is small, the south bures face heavy wind during their winter time; the food is OK and could get a bit tiring for longer stay. But overall it was as close to perfect as it could get for a tropical vacation

Amazing family holiday - I don’t see us ever staying anywhere else in Fiji. The staff say from when they meet you on the boat that you are now family and they truly mean it, by the time we’d been there 24 hours, all the staff knew our kids names and you never passed anyone without a smile and a “Bula”. Great food, buffet a little overpriced but expected on an island. Fantastic kids club, we thought our kids might go once or twice but they begged to go everyday. Lolli, Mickey, Repunzel & Cinderella (their kids club names) were fast friends. The whole place is set up so kid friendly but with parents firmly in mind. Great snorkelling right off the beach, the pools are great (but a bit cold given it is technically winter!). A perfect week spent in the best part of Fiji, we can’t wait to come back.

No words good enough to describe our week!!! Other than Beyond Perfect!! Remember it is a FAMILY resort, so there are kids! But rarely were they a problem, and that problem was a parent problem!!! Staff was unbelievable, and we immediately fell in love with all of them! Only, and I mean only!, issue was breakfast. We don’t usually eat a large breakfast, and you really have a single option, which is a buffet! Only problem with our trip, is that I didn’t plan on having “watery eyes” on our leaving, and we are already trying to plan a return trip to see our friends and family at Castaway Island!

We have stayed multiple times at Castaway and this was by far the most disappointing. The staff were lovely as always, however the dining options were extremely disappointing. Being forced on some nights to have the buffet when all we wanted was a single dish each meant that dining was very expensive for a family of four. The resort also feels very dated now We now are in 2 minds as to whether we would come back.

This was our first time at Castaway Island Resort. It is beautiful place. The staff are outstanding. We enjoyed the waterfront activities and we were grateful for Paul’s help. It was just my wife and me there. We enjoyed running into the kids club on occasion. The Wednesday evening Fiji night was lots of fun. We loved the staff dancing and singing. We loved the singing as we arrived and were leaving. Thank you for a very memorable 3 nights!
