Don't stay here

A very small cabin type property. The bedroom was so small you couldn't walk around the bed and we both had to get in from the same side. The shower was so small even a child would have difficulty having a shower. Worst of all on the 3rd night the bedroom ceiling was leaking do had to sleep in the lounge. To be fair we were moved to the cabin next door and was offered a small amount of compensation

The location was great, it was right next door to the Anne of Green Gables Heritage Site. The cottage wasn't in very good shape. It smelled very musty when we walked in, some of the windows didn't shut completely, and the furniture was extremely old and outdated. It was a good price, but overall I was disappointed.

This property is in a state of disrepair and needs major maintenance. They can't even cut the grass. The lawn mower sat in front of our cabin for 2 days like a lawn ornament. The double bed was comfortable but the couch wasn't and it was smelly. We checked the hide-a-bed and it was horribly uncomfortable. No adult should plan on using it. The sheets on the hide a bed were stained. Being in the shoulder season, the office was closed and if there was an issue, there is no one to ask. On the positive side the kitchen ware was clean and diverse. Each cabin has a bbq. All of the fridge door shelves were broken. It is a cheap place to stay for a reason. Some cabins have fresher coats of paint, others don't. Ours, was just flaky paint.

Great location. We were not told that the pool would be closed. We were told that the chemicals needed to be added to the pool and that the owner would have to do that. The lady at the front desk said that the owner was on his way but when checking back after 6 hours, we were told that the owner was now not coming to do it. The pool was closed for our entire trip, waiting on the owner to come and add chemicals. We were told that we could go to the owners other motel to use that pool but we were asked to leave when we got there. We also did not have towels, toilet paper or bedding for one of the beds when we got there. We walked to the front desk to ask for it and they said it was on its way. Then after an hour of waiting we’re told that the cleaner had gone home so there was nothing they could do until the morning.

Green Gables Bungalow Court was a nice location for my wife and I to stay while we were in Cavendish to visit the various sites related to the author of the Anne of Green Gables books. Our cabin was clean, quiet and comfortable for the amount of time we were there. We made use of the kitchen facilities while we were there, there were adequate dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker and tea pot. Communication from the staff was excellent before we arrived. Our cabin would be needing an exterior paint job in the future, however the cabin next to us appeared to be freshly painted as a couple of others did as well. I imagine they have a schedule they follow for that type of exterior work. We would certainly consider returning here if we were to visit Cavendish again

These are older cabins but in pretty good shape. We were surprised that we had basically a full kitchen and living room and porch with a couple of chairs. Real close to the park/beach and right next to the Anne of Green Gables estate exhibit that is a big attraction. Centrally located and park right next to the cabin. Went during off season so some of the stores weren't open but lots of them close to the property.
