I am no stranger to low key motel stays, and Cypress Motel is cute and has a great location. However, touting that the motel has gone through a full remodel, I expected better than I experienced. Let's start with the room doors- they're still original, and because of the salt air they stick, REALLY stick, I could barely get mine open. There was no AC, also no hot water in the evening when I wanted a shower, and the wi-fi did not work. I feel like these are pretty basic requirements for motels and hotels these days, and given the price they charge during high season they could do better.

Just wrapped up a weekend at this gem of a motel, and I can’t say enough good things! The property is in fantastic condition, with a vibe that feels both chic and cozy. But what really sets this place apart is the people. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with warmth and friendliness that makes you feel right at home. The social area is a highlight—think of it as the heart of the motel. Guests gather around the fire pit, sharing stories and laughs, creating an atmosphere that’s unique and downright fun. OK but overpriced.

Room was fairly comfortable, very clean, but overpriced. On the day I left, the key would not turn in the door in the direction needed to lock the door. I could lock it from the inside but not the outside. Check in was very easy and the front desk was very helpful.

This was a good place to stop for the night. A funky little motel that serves its purpose. The proprietor was great, with our late check in. I reminded my partner that we need to remember to bring our own pillows on our road trips. The pillows were Max 1 inch thick. All in all it was a good stay.

The office was very accommodating from the very beginning. Which was most appreciated. The parking was easy and right by the door of our room. The little grass area with the table and chairs where so comfortable along with the great new friends we made. We will absolutely be back and will refer this place to anyone who will listen.

This was such a great find for a last minute birthday trip! Can't beat the location! My coffee wasn't even cold from motel to beach waves! The staff was so friendly! Older hotel, but perfectly solid! The walls are a bit thin, and the tv a bit old, but the surroundings don't keep you in your room! Didnt take advantage of the bbq set-up and fire pit, but definitely will the next time! Great for our family of 4. The room even had a separate bedroom! Perfect!

My check out on the app was 12 noon the property owner told me 11am. I showed her the app and she said 11am because they had full reservations over the weekend. And she needed more time to prepare for the other guests. So my stay was less important so I was being made to leave and hour earlier than what was on the app which I had booked. We won't stay here again.

Simple, clean accommodations but with character! Reminds me of the old motor lodges of yester-year. Small property, so you get to speak with the owners (who are also the housekeeping and maintenance staff). Owners were very friendly and accommodating (early check in). Location is walking distance to beach/pier/shops. Will stay here again when I'm in the area.

Classic Central Coast destination with charm, value and convenience. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Location is ideally located to the center of town but a block or 2 off to assure quietness and security. Walk to great surf, coffee, dining and shopping. Adjacent to the town super market. Bonus is some rooms have kitchens and the property has a quaint garden and sitting area.
