We love the pool and the arcade for the kids. The food and drinks are great, but a bit pricey for hungry boys who have been swimming all day, so we also bring some of our own snacks. Do not get a mezzanine room if you want any sort of quiet. Kids will be screaming from 9am to 9pm in the pool area. There is a big gap under the door onto the deck and zero sound proofing.

The hot tub was out of order. There were no microwaves, coffee maker, ice bucket or cups provided for the room. We told the front desk clerk that when we booked , we asked if the hot tub was working and told yes. He told us there was too much chlorine and to just use the pool. It was our anniversary and it was ruined because of this below average establishment that we used to love in the past

The property has been refurbished but seems overpriced for what it offers. There is no free breakfast and at $28 per person for the breakfast buffet, we chose to eat elsewhere. There are a few more refurbishments that need to be done like flooring in the bathroom and more outlets for charging. The bed was a bit soft but they had plenty of pillows and an extra blanket in the room which was appreciated. The staff was pleasant, the room was quiet and it was convenient to the highway for our side trip to the Amana Colonies. Overall, it was fine for our stay for a Hawkeye game but not any fancier or better than any of the chain hotels.

Fine, in an odd way. Giant screens to cover the windows(no curtains). Kind of austere, minimal decor. No microwave, but snack room had one, with complementary fruit, tea and coffee. Lounge, bar and dining room had no patrons and no staff. Large pool also had no people. Late October stay.

From the photos and the price of the hotel ($400) a night... We were expecting a very nice hotel. The commen areas are nice. The arcade had lots of fun games...that were not working. In our room 107 it was very obvious from the chipping paint that the tile floor was painted. Even the toilet in the hotel room was a commercial toilet you can find in the public bathroom at Walmart. Above our bed there was a bad patch job to the ceiling where there was a obvious problem. The outside of the building and the parking lot are very visible run down. The owners have focused a lot of attention on the lobby that is obvious but the rest of the hotel is short cut cosmetics. Staff is nice. Hotel not worth the price per night!
