Friendly greeting. Older property but well maintained & clean. Needs updating, especially carpet, pillows. Sad to see what Ben Franklin buys you now-a-days.
This property is not the Hilton, so if that is what you are used to, then probably not your place. If you are a small town person that loves the small feel then you will love it. The owners are amazing. Will definitely cone back and stay again.
I've stayed at budget friendly hotels/motels before, but there are standards for presentation.
Stayed when temps were in the mid 90's. They have a window ac unit. Walked in the room. Ac fins were coated with about 1/4 inch of dust/dirt. Turned unit on and smelled like pee and didnt work for 2hours, then not at all (probably due to the dust).
Window blinds were not private you could see from the outside in. Managed to use 3x bath towels to hang as a curtain for privacy. (For a good reason, some random dude kept smoking right outside our window for some weird reason).
Toliet was broke, keep running water all night. Tried to fix. Plunger/Flap defective, needs replaced.
All in all understandable for a low budget hotel.(Not really). But not at the price of $100 a night. Should be more like $75
Great spot for an overnight and recharge before heading back out to the woods. The room was good overall, the rug probably needs to be changed. The staff were great and accommodating, I really thought that their friendliness is the greatest asset for the property.
I stay here every year and I like the rustic look and feel. The rooms are always clean and the restaurant makes some really good food. People don't come to a small town in the middle of nowhere to sleep in a Hilton hotel. They come to embrace the culture and feel.
I found the staff quite friendly and my room was very quiet. Bed was decently supportive. Bathroom shower had no handles on the sliding glass doors nor an anti slip mat in the old tub.The toilet very old style and only 12-14 inches tall…not ADA compliant.
The tv had 2 remotes which was confusing to use.
The room was very clean and the towels fresh
Overall, I would call the facility vintage 50’s or sixties.. I would stay again knowing that now, because it was so clean despite the age and the price was right.
The room was clean and comfortable. Older place, but it was clean and air conditioned. We stayed for 2 nights and had no complaints. We would stay again.
I cannot believe this motel shows a rating of 8/10. My family gives it a 2!
Stating the desk is 24/7 is incorrect. Looks like the staff live next door and put a sign on the door when they're not there.
Stating premium bedding is a lie. Sheets were paper thin and the pillows weren't even an inch thick!
There were ants all over the doorstep from dropped lunch meat. It was so dried up that it was clear it'd been there a while.
Housekeeping went through my bag. When I left for the day my bag was closed, came back and it was open with clothes pushed to the side. When I went down to let the front desk know, I realized they were not 24/7 service and had a paper note in the door. Thankfully nothing appears to be missing, but I cannot believe the disrespect!
