It would be 5/5 but when I got there I was told the manager is trying to be strict about the 3pm check in. I have never been told I couldn't check in to an empty room, and it is particularly obnoxious to be in that situation when i have to pay a full night to check out at 7PM. If you are a 3rd shifter you may want to call and ask if early check in is available before you book.

This was a convenient place to stay while visiting Middlefork River Forest Preserve. Close to the highway. Staff was nice, facility was clean. The breakfast was plentiful, scrambled eggs, a protein, sometimes gravy, yogurt, juice. Nice selection.

What a nice place! We went to see the Eclipse and were hoping for something quiet, reasonable, clean, comfortable and away from all the craziness of some of the bigger towns/cities. We booked two rooms and although never requesting they be adjoining, when we checked in to our pleasant surprise they were! Staff were great and after having had time to bring in our baggage, check our rooms and get settled in, a staff member called to see if everything was alright or if we needed anything!!!! Didn't even know there was such a thing! The rooms were nice size, bedding was very comfortable, breakfast was great and there were many options for breakfast. The decor was nice and welcoming. The price was very reasonable and they had a pool and a bar!!! What more can you ask for? Can't say enough good about the place!!! We drove a very short distance into town and ate at a Mexican Restaurant that was just as pleasantly surprising and accommodating!! I've been at 5 star resorts that weren't anywhere near this level of customer service and met all the expectations of an over night stay!

Hidden gem.
We had a very late check-in due to being delayed by the weather and road works. Amanda was waiting for us and there were cookies for us. Very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was really good. I would definitely stay there again.
