A beautiful, traditional house and former mill in an idyll setting with a warm welcome from our hosts, Delicious breakfast with additional homemade extras. Clean, spacious rooms with lovely views and attention to design and comfort. The large pool is perfect on hot days. Excellent location for visiting the historic and beautiful Loire region. We stayed 2 nights but could have stayed a week. It suits adults or famlies. This is a special place and we were sad to leave. Highly recommend.
Lovely spot. Very nice room in an old mill house which has been totally renovated. Great nights’ sleep. Our hosts were extremely gracious and helpful. Lauren was a very knowledgeable local guide, and Marianne even offered to,and did, iron my wife’s dress for a wedding. Above the call of duty! We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area.
Great way to experience Loire, connect with locals
Our family stayed here for two nights at the end of July 2018. The owners were super nice and friendly to us - it felt like we were staying with friends. We received all kind of useful information about local landmarks and best places to experience the local cuisine. The building is 17th century mill and the entire property is very charming and relaxing. The rooms are exceptionally renovated and very clean. The included home made breakfast was very good. So everything was top notch and the stay here was one of the highlights of our trip. I hope we get to visit Loire again and if we do, we will be booking our room at this bed and breakfast again. This was the best way to experience the region (not just the tourist aspects) and connect with the locals.

An old mill turned into a 5bedroom hostel. The host gives a round tour of the area and gives a detailed description of everything. The host and hostess was friendly and served breakfast each morning with homemade jam/yogurt together with croissants that made for a great breakfast. Durning the breakfast the host asked us out plans for the day and we got great tips on locations to visit and castles to view. They also have a 16 meter pool that our daughter lived in. The surrounding area is quiet and cozy. This is a place we definitely will return to. Close to Tours and with great bikelanes/roads. Absolutely wonderful place
Le Moulin de Bacchus is an old water mill from 1600 that has been renovated over the years but it still has its original aspect.
The house is sorrounded by a beatiful garden where you can relax or simply take a swim in the swimming pool. There is also a river crossing the property that you can navigate with a small boat. The owners, Laurent and Marie, are very friendly and nice and they make you feel like at home. We highly recommend le Moulin de Bacchus for its central location close to most of the Castles, but also for the relaxing environment where you can really take a break from the stress of big cities.
