Fabulous view of the Kanawa river. Was able to park right in front of my room, super convenient. Owner super nice. Great rate. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Quiet on the river side but could hear traffic outdoors but quiet at night. The bathroom could use a little more cleaning. But overall really enjoyed my stay.

Easy access. Park right up to the door. Clean. Comfortable bed. I made the mistake of booking a smoking room. The owner switched me to a non-smoking room at no extra charge.

This the place to stay if you are going to Laidley Field for games or track meets. Reasonable priced, quiet, and 10 minutes from any kind of food you want to eat. Its in partial hidden location but great overlook of river and across to Kanawha City. Staff was nice and easy check in and check out.

Very clean, quiet, budget friendly vintage stay

The room was just as described by other reviews we read. Quiet location, right on the Kanawha River. Parking right in front of room, and very clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but a nice overnight and affordable stay.

It felt safe and quiet. The room was relatively clean. I would not stay here again, however. because the room was moldy and I was not able to breathe well or sleep well because of that.

A nice stopover heading south

We have stayed at this place many times for an over night stay on the way south. It’s clean and comfortable. It’s an older motel that is well-maintained and kept up. They have made many updates over the years. It’s situated along a river and we have spent time watching the river traffic during warm weather, which is enjoyable. We will stay there again.

Place is a joke. Smelt like cigarettes and hookers. Wife had to sleep in the car because the smoke smell was so bad, couldn’t find anyone in the office to complain to. Would not recommend unless you need a quickie with your mistress or hooker.

If you are looking for a quiet clean place to stay the night this is a perfect place. We were lucky to get a room facing the lovely river. Like other reviews it is a bit dated but the bed is comfy, the water pressure is great, and the room is a nice size. FYI for coffee lovers there is no coffee machine in the room but we got one from nearby when we left.
