There is good and there is bad. We only needed a place to sleep. We are not picky. We called in advance to make sure we could check in very late. No problem. I feel bad. Because we had to ring doorbell and wake guy up. However, he was fine. 3 issues. The office says check out is 11am. Expedia says check outvisv11am. He says check out before 10 am! The room had a marker on the door changing check out from 11 to 10am. Our whole purpose was sleeping in. The place appears clean, but so many allergins in bed we are so stuffy can't sleep. There was a man outside our room singing loudley between 1am and 3am probably on something. Very convenient to interstate 79. I also found it odd when we walked in and I thought i was turning on the light, i cut the power to the whole room. The breaker is right above the light switch. This being said, I've stayed in a chain hotel in Charleston before which wss extremely scary. So still might not be thecworst choice in this city.

Budget Motel - Good Value

The motel somewhat tricky to find however beautiful location on the river. Very quiet, room well appointed and clean. Good lighting in bathroom and great shower pressure. Very reasonable rates. Very good pizza restaurant 5 mins walk away.

Fabulous view of the Kanawa river. Was able to park right in front of my room, super convenient. Owner super nice. Great rate. Room was clean and had everything I needed. Quiet on the river side but could hear traffic outdoors but quiet at night. The bathroom could use a little more cleaning. But overall really enjoyed my stay.
