The only real negative was the toilet. It was too low to the ground and we are elderly and it was difficult to get up and down. Breakfast was very good especially the coffee. It is usually too strong. I liked the way you could choose the strength. This was the 2nd quality inn we stayed at this trip and both properties were very good

This hotel is well run. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, location was good. A very pleasant stay. The pool was closed, but they were working on it when we left, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Spacious room with good standards of cleanliness. Telephone was not connected so we had to go to reception to ask questions. Good breakfast for this type of hotel, with hot and cold options. However, unfortunately we got little sleep the first night due to plumbers working noisily to repair something right outside our window until 2am. We were not informed about this or offered an alternative room, an apology or compensation even when we mentioned the disturbance and that, at first, it sounded like someone trying to enter our room. Given that sleep is the primary reason for staying in a hotel, this is not really acceptable. Pool was also green and not inviting at all. A shame, because without these issues, it would probably have been a very good stay.

They were tiny bugs in between our mattresses, not sure what they were. They moved us to another room. Cockroach came in from outside. Hot breakfast was very good. Room was outdated. Staff was nice. Wouldn't stay there again.

It was the first place that had a working freezer in the mini fridge. Very convenient: close to the US-17 bridge to Charleston and all of the historic attractions; the County Beach Park is seven miles away and allows free access with a handicap parking permit.

Disappointing. We arrived on a hot sunny day and found out the pool was closed and there was no notice on the website about the closure. The room door was broken and it was hard to open and close the door, the room smelled like bleach, and for some reason the carpet was damp. One positive, the breakfast had good options.

I feel as though if you’re working in any service industry you should at the very least smile when you greet people. The maintenance men working on the pool on Saturday morning were the only 2 who did that. The front desk staff barely picked their faces out of their phones. My first room smelled of mildew and had bugs in the tub, not to mention no phone. The second room was better, but I should have known. You absolutely get what you pay for.
