Customer service was great and the stay was good. The room was a little outdated and the headboard was messed up due to it being cleaned, but we were notified by a courtesy note left on the table from the hotel staff. Will consider returning when we desire to visit Charleston again!

The pool was filled with bugs making it enjoyable my husband was stung by a bug in the water. As well as staff tried to enter my room with the do not disturb sign out while I was in there.

I had to spend a night because I was picking up my daughter late at night from the train station a couple hours from home. It felt like a mini-vacation with the way the room was set up and the nice big bathroom.

This is an old property that definitely needs an update. The furniture in the lobby was old and worn out and the bathroom in our room was disgusting.

We checked into the property and front desk was not knowledgeable about breakfast options. There were no luggage carts, the side door on one wing key card did not work and had to walk all the way around to the front of the entrance and told the front desk and was told sorry that’s a known issue I should of told you I’ll get maintenance to reset it. Lobby where bar and seating area ceiling was dirty and stucco was coming off. The two elevators were unsafe. One bounced really bad coming to stops and was out of commission after power was lost to building. Our room the bathroom shower valve was broken and had to turn it two full turns to get hot water. Informed front desk did not report it that night. Next morning front desk and maintenance knew nothing about it. Beds were very uncomfortable. Tried to get a partial refund. Was told to go through the app in which we booked and have them call. Manager refused to answer there calls and was not able to get a refund from hotel. Do not book here not worth the price or frustration of very very poor customer service and poor facilities maintenance.

I did like the convenience of the location. I didn't like that the furniture in the room was tattered. For the cost of the room I expected better quality. Upon check-in it wasn't disclosed that you had to purchase vouchers for breakfast. I was so embarrassed, we fixed our breakfast only to be told we needed to purchase vouchers. I also brought my pet, I was advised prior to my arrival that it would be a $30 per day charge for the 2 nights. I noticed that when I received my receipt I was charged double the price. I will never stay here again.

We had very nice stay, although on the second day until we left, only one elevator was functional. Breakfast and bar staff are super friendly. Location was very convenient to everything, room was clean and the hot breakfast was great. What I love most is the rain shower with great water pressure!

The staff were very accommodating, especially one supervisor who kindly offered me an umbrella so I could get to my car in the rain. However, there were a few issues during our stay. The bed in our room was uncomfortable, which affected our rest. One of the elevators would jolt upon reaching certain floors, which was unsettling. I reported it to the front desk, and to their credit, they took it out of service the next day. Another concern was the lack of clear stair access during a power outage caused by a storm. My husband and I had to ask a staff member where the stairs were, as they weren’t clearly marked. I also didn’t see an evacuation map near the elevator, which is concerning—especially in the event of an emergency like a fire. It could lead to confusion and panic if people can’t find the stairs quickly. Lastly, the outdoor lounge area needs more attention. I found a toenail on one of the sofas, which was absolutely disgusting and raised concerns about cleanliness. Also the image on the Expedia page needs to be updated. It shows a nice patio with a fire pit. I was informed that this was removed awhile ago and the site needs to be updated.
