The hotel was fine. It's definitely a budget hotel. We initially were assigned a room that smelled of smoke and was in very poor condition. We changed rooms which was much nicer.

1/5 stars - our room door wouldn't shut properly - all dryers are broken in the hotel - only one ice machine wofmd, others are broken or dirty - staff allows people to do whatever with no consequence - people smoking near other people rooms - limited breakfast and not good

Exceeded our expectations.

Exceeded our expectations and would happily stay again. We checked in for 2 nights and found the staff and accommodation to much better than we had expected. Room was clean and functional, beds comfortable, pool in good working order and all staff were friendly and appeared happy. Breakfast was basic but again much better than other like properties, waffles, toast, scones, eggs, cereal, tea, coffee and juice etc. Glad we had a last minute change of heart on an adjacent property we had been booked in and changed to this one. Only negative (which applies to most North America hotels) is it is time do away with the single use plastics, the days of wrapping plastic in plastic needs to end.

The CS agent was very friendly, courteous and professional. The location was within 5 driving minutes of the North Charleston Coliseum and could also be walked to within a reasonable amount of time. The location to the highway made traveling to downtown Charleston and other areas convenient as well. Although the room was rather outdated it was clean, comfortable and provided everything I needed.

When checking in, the king NON smoking room that I had booked and confirmed was not available. I had the option between a king smoking or double non smoking. Someone messed up somewhere. I asked if there would be any cost reduction and was told no. I believe I should have been compensated for the error

Staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean and had super comfortable beds! TV, Micro and fridge worked great. Ice machines worked for our LAX coolers! :-) Good breakfast. Only complaint was that the bathroom door was warped, worn, and obviously splintered by people trying to shut it when it no longer fits the frame! You need to have your carpenter look at that.
