Pleasantly Surprise — Nice Stay — Recommend
My boyfriend and I stopped in late just to get a few hours of sleep. The lady working at the front desk was very friendly. The room was clean. The lock on the door was a little hard to engage, but not a big deal overall. I had a question before checkout the next morning, so called the front desk. I didn’t get an answer, but very quickly an employee called the room and kept apologizing that she missed my call. I assured her that it was fine, she was very friendly. Checkout went smooth. The security deposit was credited back to my card before the end of the day. We definitely will stay here again. I recommend this Red Roof Inn located in Kanawha City, Charleston, WV

First room was filthy and smelled of cigarettes. Appliances were dirty. Room was cold no heating. Had to get toilet paper no spares. Clerk was very nice but she just dispensed the rooms. Got another room much cleaner but still had issues with heating. Heater was full blast but small amount of heat. Have stayed at Red Roof in other places but this was the worse experience

Kanawha Cat stay
I travel with my cats a lot and choose the cheaper motels because of that. This was by far the nicest of the cat friendly motels that I have ever been in. Very clean and the bed was very comfy. I wlll definatly stay there again.

I have stayed at many red roof inns and I do not have high expectations. But they are normally at least clean. The trash in my room had not been taken out from the previous guest, there was used dirty soap on the shelf in the shower/bathtub as well as hairs in the bathtub. Thankfully, it was just a one night stay or I would’ve requested a refund or a new room. I cleaned it myself, but likely will not stay again.

Didn't feel safe. Random people wondering the grounds the entire time. Tons of cops dealing with people in the parking lot. Toilet was running when I got there & wouldn't flush. Room was dirty. I was barely there 12 hours & I still haven't gotten my $100 deposit back yet. Would not stay again & I am very easy to please so negative reviews do not happen often. Disappointing.
