Heat not wirking in room. Two room phones - 1 missing and the other not working. Had to call front desk on my cell phone to get maintenance to come fix heat and phones. Lobby cold and would have been nice to have hot coffee available while waiting for room to be ready for check-in. Hotel layout is confusing and trying to find room not easy. Figured things finally after day 2 and ready to check-out. Property is older and a bit dated.

Room was spacious and well decorated, hotel location was convenient, lobby was nice. However upon check in, we were met with a very rude staff member who mocked us, watched TV on his phone instead of tending to customers, and spoke very rudely throughout our interactions. We also saw him behave rudely to other customers and act in an angry and unprofessional manner for multiple days. Definitely surprising considering the restaurant staff, housekeepers, and late night/early morning front desk staff were very kind.

Upon check in we were told that the carpets were being cleaned so our room may have damp carpet all throughout (which they did). About a day later we were told late in the day that the water pipes had burst earlier that day and they had no idea when it would be fixed. It was 6pm when they told us and I had to look for another hotel and move my family (2 young kids and my elderly parents) to another place. when I tried to get a refund for the rest of my trip, the front desk told me to contact Expedia - they could not refund me at the Hyatt. They were quite short with me as if it was a huge inconvenience for them to be dealing with my issue!!

I am currently a guest 11/10/2024 at the Doubletree Hotel at 6300 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28211 and found myself with mixed feelings. Aesthetically, this hotel is absolutely beautiful, with elegant decor that makes you feel like you've arrived somewhere special. However, my actual experience staying here was far from restful. At nearly $500 for a one-night stay in a two-bedroom suite, I had high hopes for a peaceful, comfortable evening. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The building, though charming, is older and has settled over time, which has led to some structural issues. I could hear every step taken by the guests above me, and they happened to be up all night, pacing around. If you’re a light sleeper or value quiet, this can be quite unsettling. I also encountered issues with the doors in our suite. The bathroom door, for instance, would stick, making it difficult for my daughter to open it after using the restroom. Meanwhile, it wouldn’t close properly at other times. I contacted the front desk, and the attendant kindly offered to investigate, though I felt the problem was more foundational, likely due to the building’s age. This hotel might be perfect if you’re planning to be out late, enjoying the nightlife and only need a place to crash for a few hours. But if a restful night’s sleep is what you’re after, you may want to consider other options. I understand my experience may not reflect everyone’s stay, but it was signif

Was nothing special about this place at all. It was very dreary . The linen looked old and dingy . The beds in the suites had metal protrusions sticking out of the bottom that could seriously injure someone if they are not careful.

We had to check out of the property early because our daughter got sick. The front desk told us that they should refund our second night but we had to go through Expedia. After several attempts by Expedia to get us a refund, the manager was never “available.” Poor, poor customer service on their part.
