Charlotte Area Residents Not Welcome at this Hotel

This is an amazing hotel. We stayed here when Hurricane Helene brought a tree down onto our home last September. We needed a place to stay for a bit while the final repairs were being made to our home recently. As I went to check back in because we needed more time at the hotel, a worker told me that they would allow us to stay that time. But those of us that live within a 30 mile radius of Charlotte were not welcome. Apparently they had some bad experiences with local customers. I'm sorry to hear this. I just want everyone to be forewarned before they make reservations.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express - Charlotte

Everything at the hotel was really good. Had only one issue with the cleaning crew where I asked one of the maids for new towels and she never said that she didn't have any but told me to see her later and that was it. We asked her this on several occasions. We ended up asking the front desk and they had someone bring us more. Seemed like she also might not have understood English too well.

The customer service from the front desk was amazing and they were so kid friendly. My kids asked them a lot of questions, they were more than happy to answer. It was also quiet and clean! Front staff was very accommodating and professional. Room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. Need to improve shower head and pressure. Breakfast was sub-par. But at least I didn’t have go out for breakfast and spend extra money.
