The property overall was dirty. The room was dirty and items in complete disrepair. The mattresses were extremely cheap and wiggly. Upside, front desk staff was nice and accommodating. Just a bad, old property.
We checked in went to look at the room. When we got to the room & looked around it had not been cleaned. First, the entrance was an outside entrance (motel style)- which I don’t believe was mentioned when booking. There were dried spills on counters, & in the bottom of fridge. Tub was stained & looked nasty, and it looked like there was mold on the ceiling. I felt nasty and disgusting. I went back to the front desk and asked for a different room, something I have never done before. Was told we were not the first ones to ask that night. Got a new room. Went up to the room & it was better, but still felt kinda nasty.
Here are the pros & cons of the second room;
Pros:
-The bed was awesome, my back was happy
-Good pillows
-Clean sheets
-Staff was nice
-Ice water available in the lobby
-Breakfast was OK
-2nd & 3rd floor is hotel style entrance (from inside)
Cons:
-Dated decor and fixtures
-Not clean
-Towel rack broke
-Showerhead broke, was spouting water into the wall and the ceiling
-Brown handprint on the wall in the bathroom
-Boogers & Snotty handprint on the wall next to bed
-Curtains were stained
-Breakfast bar was not stocked in a timely manner
-Very dim lighting & the lights flicker
-The lock on the stairwell is broke, so anyone can enter through the stairwell
-Issues with key cards not working
-1st floor has motel style rooms (enter from the outside)
The room was nonrefundable, we would have left and found a different hotel to stay at if it wasn’t for that.
Staff was wonderful and check in was easy, however the room wasnt the best. The fridge wasnt cold, the microwave is stuck on 30 minutes and you cant clear it. The phone randomly started talking, which really creeped us out. The smoke detector is missing, and there is a small hole in the wall, like someone had kicked it and they didnt fix it. The room itself is clean and comfortable, and I like that the hotel is right across the street from mcdonalds and chick fil a, which made getting food easy.
Room was not exactly clean, walked over candies, a prior customer’s chicken was in the refrigerator, breakfast area was very very small, unkept and the food not good, Sunday we did not even attempt to have breakfast at the hotel
The receptionists were smiling and had a great customer service attitude

Booked a room through Expedia. Booking confirmed. Paid. Drove two hours and when reached this place, the front desk said, “we have no more rooms”
The available room was given to a walk in.
I was there at 9:35 pm and they didn’t care that they didn’t keep my paid up / confirmed room.
“Ask Expedia, they may refund your money “
It was a busy weekend in Charlotte so many hotels sold out. This one apparently wasn't as I made an online reservation and had a confirmation number. Upon arrival I was informed the place was sold out. The Manager was running around trying to find empty rooms for those of us who were showing up with valid reservations.
Besides that the facility was a little "worn out"
First of all I would like to say the staff were very kind and I had no issues with them. However I paid for a non smoking double bed room that looked fairly nice but when I checked in I got put into a one bed smoking room and I had my 7 year old child with me, it was late and I was told that was the only room available so we had to choice but to stay. I switched rooms the next day and was put into the correct type of room but the room was not that great. The beds were uncomfortable, it looked like the headboard was ripped off the wall and there were not full sized pillows on the bed, just two small square ones. When I woke up the next morning I had a ton of bug bites on me. Sad to say I will not be staying here again.
