When we booked the hotel we let them know that we would be arriving very late that night. When we checked in after midnight, we were given a room and when we opened the door the room had been used. Bed unmade etc. That shouldn't have happened. We ended up getting another room, unfortunately the takeout food we brought back with us at this point was cold. This morning an hour before check out, one of the cleaning staff walks right into our room, no knock etc. Seems like maybe a disconnect with what rooms are clean, when customers are checked out of the room etc.

Short vacation to PEI

We stayed 2 nights and we had to go to the checkin counter to get fresh towels for the 2nd night. The restaurant had 10% discount on all meals, but did not discount on daily specials. It also offered a free Seafood Chowder instead of the regular side on your meal, again except that it did not count for the daily specials. Both offers unknowingly did not apply to the daily specials. Also, the Seafood Chowder tasted good but only had a few small scallops and lots of chunky potatoes.

It was a clean, fairly modern room with suitable space. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Location was at the north west end of town..ideal for exploring the island without having to travel through town.

I do not write reviews too often and usually only if I have a positive experience to share. In this case, I have to write a negative review. The name of this hotel suggests that you should be getting a good value for your money. We did look for a good price and were well aware that you usually get what you pay for. Nevertheless, if if knew what we were getting, we would not pay for it. The worst part was the breakfast which was provided in the restaurant in the main building. We were staying for two nights but after the first night, we opted to have the breakfast away from the hotel as the cleanliness of the restaurant and hygiene practices at the restaurant were too questionable to risk it twice. This was for sure our first and LAST visit to this hotels, especially after we shared our experience with our friends and they told us that they had very similar, if not same, experience with this hotel at a completely different location.
