The property is a nice location downtown, and grant you access to a lot of different things within walking distance. But the property itself had a lot to be desired. The plumbing is subpar, the rooms are old and at a date, the carpet is dirty, and the breakfast options were limited to muffins and waffles.

Convenient to downtown, friendly staff, the room was in the new part but they still have a lot of Reno’s to do. While the room was clean and redone, you could still smell smoke in the bathroom and the hallways were very outdated and Ned to be recarpeted and made more modern. Breakfast was gross, my husband cracked open three hard boiled eggs and they were gray. We couldn’t eat the food. All staff were very friendly. We used the gym who j was great, but didn’t use the pool, but saw kids in it playing.

AVOID booking at this dive and pay the same price to stay at a cleaner, modern kept hotel! I wish I had read reviews before I booked and been able to attach pictures I took. Of all the hotels we've stayed in 30 yrs this was the worst @ a price of $269 per night. Our best was in Whistler BC at a price less than this! Our room was across the street near a main entrance. It's very outdated run down hotel, stained carpets in hallways outside our room. Standard sized pillows on Queen beds and disgustingly stained pillow underneath old pillow cases. Bedding was less than appealing. Thankfully no bugs! Paint peeling off areas in bathroom, lampshade bubbling and cracked. Our first night was very noisy slamming of doors. Went on search for ice machine found one on 3rd floor it dispenced about 6 tiny pieces of ice. Found another on 2nd floor was able to get a cup of ice. Washer and dryers had signs on them out of service. When you get to the tunnel leading to main building and look up you see wires hanging out of ceiling, caution sign saying proceed at own risk! The guy at front desk was very dishonest when I asked about a hold on my CC he assured me there would be in his words " since you not paying cash or with debit there will be no holds on CC. Of course when I came home from my trip I discovered it was charged on July 11th first night and it is still on my CC 10 days later!

I wouldn’t recommend staying at the Charlottetown Inn and Conference Centre. They seem to be cutting corners everywhere and have little concept of customer service. The after hours entry door at the front of the building was not working - rather than repairing it they suggested we use the door at the back of the property, which didn’t feel safe. Our room was not serviced at all during our first two days. On the third day, after we made a firm request for cleaning, the room was serviced but they left us with no towels. I suggest finding somewhere else to stay. This property has the feel of a budget property without the budget price.

Wait for the renovation! The property is old and run down. The curtains were ripped, the carpet was ripped and stained. I planned on staying for two nights but left after the first night. They are currently remodeling - maybe it will be better soon!

Maybe this was a three star hotel 50 years ago. Now, it’s more along to a hostel. Holes in the walls, spray paint on the carpets, unheated pool, cleaners didn’t bother replacing the in-room coffee pods between nights. They are renovating so might be nice in the future. For now I’m annoyed by that I paid $300+ a night to stay in such a run down property. Would be more forgiving for a fairer price

It was never revealed the hotel was under complete renovation. Loud work being done early in the morning on our only rest day. Also, the laundry machine didn’t work without any notice that it didn’t- even though I inquired about coins and soap (both unavailable). Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Overall, not worth the money spent.

The washing machine wasn't working, and the person at the desk said they would look into fixing it, but didn't return the change we had already put into the machine. The floors in our room weren't cleaned, and the body wash and conditioner weren't refilled.

Looks like a beat up place with the renovation done. No quality in the rooms, dirty sheets had to be changed, paint all over the place. This place doesn’t reflect Canadian standards. Pet friendly but you can’t bring it for breakfast and can’t leave it in the room in case it barks or you will get a fine. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. Feels like a beat up place for a poor neighbour hood.
