Beautiful old fashion historic hotel . Lobby is wonderfully charming with comfy old leather sofas and period furniture. Staff was cheerful and helpful. We would highly recommend a stay here when visiting Charlottetown.

I had a lovely stay in the main building. Staff were really attentive and warm. Happy hour drink and delicious breakfast were appreciated. The only thing that wasn’t great was the carpet in our room (203) was really yucky /stained by the fridge.

Comfy Stay at the Great George
This is a lovely location right in the heart of Charlottetown. The bed was so super comfy that I had a great night of sleep every night. Breakfast was good however some variety would be nice seeing that we stayed 4 night and every day was basically the same. Maybe some local cheese from the local Cows creamery and other local products would make it more boutique like. As I travel often and feel like the staff was very nice and helpful they even gave us a lovely bottle of wine and some snacks in our room for our special trip. The only things I can mention is that more attention to cleaning would be nice. Like the corners of the bathrooms and exit door etc. Some attention should be giving to looking up and down like light fitting and corners bad cobwebs etc. we traveled in October so it was low season with lovely weather. Overall I would recommend this location.

What a wonderful concept, saving some historic buildings and turning them into hotel rooms. My room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Close to everything in downtown Charlottetown.

Love the property, so old and yet so modern. Housekeeping missed some cobwebs...no garbage can in the main room...tub needs an anti slip something....AND there are not enough parking spots for the amount of guests at the hotel!! The Great George is a unique boutique hotel, that really isn't a hotel at all but a collection of Victorian houses serviced by a main Pavillion. As such, your room is a room in a separate house, and you travel to the pavillion for reception, breakfast, and the common area lounge. The rooms are comfortable but as they are all on streets, you have to expect traffic noise, and lots of foot traffic around. It's in a very walkable area, with so many cafes, restaurants, shops, a theatre, the Arts center you will have lots to do while you are there. Very good staff, polite, professional very friendly and accommodating. The furniture is antique so expect some creaks but the mattress are the very best. I love that they have proper comfortable armchairs in the room and not those uncomfortable office chairs. The only way it could get better is if they had a power bar and a footstool in the room.
