First Time Visit

Perfect location for first-time visiters of PEI. Loved having the daily breakfast and weeknight happy hours included. Being able to park after day trips but walk to dinners was ideal for us. Would recommend to anyone visiting the island.

Nice hotel, zero service!

Nice historic hotel. The room was very nicely appointed. The bed was a bit lumpy because of the mattress topper. My biggest complaint was the lack of any kind of typical hotel services like help with luggage, and ice delivery to the room that you would expect at a 5 star hotel. We also experienced poor front desk service. From the moment we entered the lobby we felt unwelcomed. The attitude of the front desk person was terrible. I had expected better from such a beautiful property but unfortunately this really impacted our enjoyment.

Everything was absolutely lovely. Beautiful old hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It retains its old world charm but is still equipped with modern conveniences. Breakfast was outstanding.

We stayed one night here but it was a lovely hotel with all the charm as advertised. Perfectly located 3 blocks from water front shoppes and restaurants. We walked down and enjoyed shopping, dinner, drinks and even dessert. Get a beaver tail! Yummy!! Lobby has lots of cozy comfy chairs/couches to unwind after a long day out.

Style and location

What a lovely place. The rooms are large and well appointed. Mine had a separate bedroom upstairs from a sitting room. The location is great. All the restaurants and sights to see right out the door. Great place at a fair price. Great breakfast too!!!!

Do not go if you have celiac

The location is excellent, but if you have celiac disease be warned. They had a table at their breakfast labeled gluten-free table. The cookie on that table when I ate it, I knew it could not possibly be gluten-free, but I ate it anyway and it completely ruined my vacation. If you have celiac, you know what I mean. I was sick to the point of almost having to go to the hospital.
