This property is amazing. Don’t expect your plain Best Western here. The staff go beyond the call to make you feel at home. The house is a beautifully maintained vintage home with loads of charm. Modern amenities like air conditioning are there. We had the big suite on the top floor but they helped with our suitcases so no problem there. They even have beach towels for you to use. I only wish I had booked more days here. Breakfast was always fresh and plentiful. Looking forward to returning to PEI soon and staying here again.

Chris and Lee were great host and hostess to their Inn. Walkable to the downtown core and quiet for sleeping. I delicious breakfast and spacious bedrooms. I would highly recommend this Inn for a lovely and relaxing stay.

My husband and I stayed 1 night on our drive through Charlottetown. This Inn is very quiet and charming, and the owners are very helpful and go out of their way to help make the stay pleasant. The hot breakfast was really tasty and had a lot of offerings like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice, Erfurt, yogurt, etc. Our room was on top floor and was very spacious and clean. We would stay again for sure!

It's located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the Victoria Park, and walkable to the centre of the town. The property (house) is charming and staff are friendly and very helpful.

The staff at the Sonata were extremely helpful and personable. They go above and beyond to make sure that the guests are serviced well and feel comfortable at their Inn. Location is absolutely wonderful. Can walk downtown in one direction and to the boardwalk in the other direction. Highly recommend 10 out of 10.

Chris was a fantastic host. Very comfortable and spacious room. Breakfast was great, and hot drinks and snacks were available all day. Easy parking. Laundry very useful. Charlottetown was a lovely place to visit.

Charming 2 nights extended to 3 nights

The hosts are very pleasant, gracious, attentive and try their best for every request. Continental breakfast with real eggs was great and fresh. There are a few hotels that offer a similar experience on the same street but this one was great for our first visit to Charlottetown. Only one thing to improve would be the seating our room, two big antique chairs that match the decor but not comfortable to sit as the cushioning needs repair.

We stayed at The Sonata Inn for 3 nights early June. We loved our stay here! The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds, bedding and pillows. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast area is lovely and there are plenty of choices for breakfast. We enjoyed the baking Li provided everyday. Our flight arrived around midnight, but Chris was there to great us, and let us know we could help ourselves to tea, coffee, etc at any time of day! There’s another small communal kitchen on the upper floor which is handy. We also enjoyed the little sunroom sitting area off the reception area, a great spot to sit and read or enjoy an evening glass of wine. The Staff, Chris and Li, went above and beyond to see that we had a place to safely store our e-bikes and charge them each night. They also helped us with our restaurant choices and there are many within easy walking distance from the hotels location, so we thought this was perfect. The other travellers at this hotel were very friendly as well and shared their PEI adventures! A friendly relaxed vibe, and a place we looked forward to coming home to during our stay in Charlottetown. We highly recommend The Sonata Inn!

Nice quiet spot. Great old home with vintage character and charm, that has been converted to hotel. Room was very large! Bathroom was as well. Walkable to shopping and the Confed center. Breakfast was very good as well with a very large serving and good options. There were a few spots that showed wear but considering the age of the home it was nothing off putting. Staff was very friendly as well!

Great location, as it's within walking distance to all the attractions in the downtown area. The staff is very friendly and provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat. We stayed for three nights and would definitely stay here again if we visit Charlottetown. The bed was comfortable, and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.
