The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful, especially if you don’t speak French. I will absolutely be returning to this location and would suggest it to anyone visiting for holiday or business.

Villa Maia is in an amazing location, and was wonderful to stay at. The staff is incredibly kind, thoughtful and helpful. The concierge is so knowledgeable and helpful. The staff bent over backwards to help us to have a great stay. Julian and Baptiste helped my daughter find an apartment to rent, while she is there for school. The whole staff is wonderful! I will stay there every time I’m in Lyon!

Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hotel is smaller and local which is always our preference. The room was very clean and beautiful with tall ceilings and a fireplace. We chose a room with a view though I would have preferred it to be on a higher floor. Something to ask for next time. The location was fantastic for walking to many sites in the old city. All around a wonderful stay!

Following a warm welcome from reception, I arrived to a nicely decorated, well maintained room with thoughtful touches like a a few different lamps and a well set out space to store and hang my belongings. A/C very welcome! Small double room perfect for one but may be a tight fit for two! Good selection at breakfast time and nice quiet space in which to eat. The availability of water cooler and coffee machine to use any time was nice, too. Importantly, I felt safe and comfortable as a lone female traveller. Location is central and street is quiet enough for peace but busy enough to feel safe walking back in evening. I would certainly consider staying here again in the future. Only comment I would add would be that the toilet roll holder is quite annoying to use, it seems odd when everything else is so well done!

Clean room and well maintained hotel with air conditioning in the room. Well situated for restaurants and local boulangeries.
