We have stayed here a number of times, generally speaking the place is okay regarding price v quality. This time I was disappointed with the cleaning of the room specifically the bathroom sink. I doubt that plug hole had been cleaned in months, hair, food and lord know what else. May have point me off revisiting.

We had traveled from the East Midlands with a special birthday cake for our daughter,and the staff kindly arranged to keep it in a fridge overnight as the temperatures were extremely hot.cant thank the staff enough

Niice enough for a few nights. My room wasnt the best but they happily gave me a better one. Neighbours were noisy however. View was nice, breakfast was nice and staff helpful. 20min walk to Rochester, which was fine, and the dockyard very interesting!!

Good place to stay but give the food a miss

Conveniently located rooms were clean but bed uncomfortable due to lumpy mattress Staff at reception were pleasant and accommodating but breakfast was a disappointment and inedible, beans were cold, milk was on the turn, asked for scrambled egg and got fried, sausages tasted off, bacon not cooked properly left without finishing food,

Lovely reception staff rest could do much better!

Starting with the positive The reception staff were all friendly & extremely helpful The room was fine apart from the shower only having cold water we were unable to have a hot shower the whole time. I was surprised there was no housekeeping done during our stay the bins were not emptied or beds made & tea tray replenished leaving us without supplies The site advertised breakfast included & did not specify that this was only a continental breakfast. The first morning we went down and were greeted by no staff & most of the tables littered with used crockery & leftovers There were no glasses for juice(which was extremely weak & watery) & cereal The facilities to make toast some rather stale mini muffins & tea making equipment. When the staff member turned up he we were not on the cooked breakfast list only continental which was a pretty poor and extremely basic. At one time another resident asked for a knife & was told "in the top drawer" I spoke to receptionist who sorted breakfast for the next day when we arrived the tables were littered & there were no glasses or mugs. When the staff finally appeared he got some with a more pleasant attitude than the one the day before the cooked breakfast was mediocre the egg seemed like it had been reheated the hash brown overcooked the beans & tinned tomato were barely warm. The car park was also not in use which meant moving the car morning & evening having chosen your hotel so we could walk everywhere we intended to park once

Could have been a lot cleaner. No cooked breakfast for 2 days. Shortage of staff. One man on nightshift and trying to make breakfast. Loud music constantly playing in the bar. Hose in the bar not working for soda. One man on duty insolent to my wife.

Absolutely Disgusting

Filthy Room with suspicious stains on the walls by the bed. Dirty carpet, filthy skirtings moldy bathroom, hair in the bed. Car park out of order so had to park round the back and walk up about 50 steep uneven steps, no good for people with mobility issues. Don't be fooled by the nice Photo, the rooms are absolutely disgusting. Still trying to get a refund as promised by receptionist Amy, but getting nowhere. We couldn't stay in the room for more than 5 mins as scared to catch something.

Excellent budget stay we use when attending comedy at the local theatre. 200 yards from the high street, plenty of places to eat. Breakfast is included and is more than acceptable. This hotel used to be a vibrant hub for functions and wedding receptions etc. the new owners stopped this, not sure how well the place will do long term. Fingers crossed.
