Liked: Room comfort
Lacks attention to detail
Stayed in Kendal suite and at first appearance it’s a lovely suite but as the night went on a few cracks seems to appear- the pipe work in the building is old so when you’re trying to sleep you constantly hear the noise of the pipes draining or whatever - it’s very off putting to try and sleep too, the window did not latch and poor quality so when sleeping if keeping window open it can only be open half way and then it makes the blinds rattle against the wall! Again so annoying when trying to sleep - the telephone didn’t work - there were no bathrobes and it’s a suite I expected more - the room service menu wasn’t in room and no instructions on how to use it etc. basically the whole stay lacked attention to detail majority which let it down massively

The air conditioning in our room, made a loud noise all night long, meaning that we weren’t able to get a good sleep.
Also there was a mix up with the room we were allocated and the room that we received.
Disappointing experience.
Oddfellows was overall a lovely place to stay. Great rooms and a great location. I booked 2 rooms for a family trip and it would have been better if the hotel had realised this. I got 2 ‘look forward to seeing you’ phone calls and reception were none the wiser when we arrived. One room we booked had an issue with the shower and we were disappointed not to be offered any compensation. We were told there were no other rooms to move to but not offered a free drink in the bar, or something to compensate for the issue.
Overall a great hotel, just a little let down by the service.
Great property in Cheadle in a park setting.
When booking you may choose to call the property to see if there’s a party booking as this may delay a quiet nights rest. The staff are great ad would recommend prebooking breakfast at the property and sitting out on the deck if weather permits. Easy to get around but car is a must.
Enjoyed a one night stay in a playground suite on our way back from the Peak District.. beautiful building, comfy bed, very nice bathroom and amenities… fabulous breakfast.. recommend
Very nice stay, room was really good and had everything we needed, felt it was missing a few minor details that would make it a 5star hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The only thing we thought was poor was the dining experience. The food was not up to standards expected and rather tasteless. Breakfast was good. Would stay again but would eat elsewhere.
The room was nice but it was very cold , and despite turning up the thermostats it remained cold , in the morning we asked reception to override the thermostat and turn the heat up, it wasn’t enough to be comfortable. It also has an open bathroom area in the room, so going to the bathroom during the night , lights on and a flush of the toilet completely disturbs a partner sleeping. For the reason we wouldn’t book again. Breakfast was good.
