not like any best western we have stayed in across the united states. definitely needs updating the rooms. The Worst one was in Phoenix AZ. We paid in advance and when we arrived it was in a dangerous drug activity area. three ladies traveling alone would not have been safe and we called the front desk and he would not cancel and refund my money. we never got out of our car.

The room was ok! Nothing great or special. It is close to main road so unless you sleep through anything or bring a sound machine, you hear traffic all through night. The curtains do not cover entire window to block outside lights, so if you like total dark to sleep, that will not happen. No elevator if on second level. Other than those things, all was good. Beds were comfortable and room clean.

Check in staff just looked at me when i entered. Didnt stand or greet me. Refridgerator in room was frozen over. Was told they'd defrost it next day. Instead brought a smaller fridge which i agreed was fine. But the maintenance cleaned it with so much sanitizer that we couldnt use it because of the smell. Front desk lady tried to wipe it clear of the smell. Didnt work. Told the front desk man. He just shrugged. Bathroom floor was not clean. Check out morning we had no hot water. Dissapointing stay.

Room was clean but does need some touch up repair around fixtures like tissue box and toilet paper roll. Bed very comfortable and the heat / AC worked very well. Good size rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

So first of all, the best thing was the mattress the worst things were the shower was moldy. There was no hot water at all our entire stay, and the hairdryer did not work at all. Breakfast was cold what there was of it and the poor girl who was running the front desk, didn’t speak very good English. She was a foreign girl, and I certainly appreciate her. However, she was just like abandoned by the owner or manager person.

Very dingy and dated motel. Rooms were dirty and very aged. Caked on filth on most surfaces, switches, and floors. The only good part were the seemingly clean linens. The few staff interactions were pleasant but not overly welcoming. Would not stay here again.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Parking was adequate. Breakfast included a wide variety of items to choose from: waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, juices, coffee, teas, cereal, yogurts, etc.

Best Western Mountainbrook is our go to when we visit the NC mountains. It's central to all we do, walkable to several places in the valley, and pretty quiet, all things considered. Continental breakfast is very convenient. Desk and breakfast staff friendly. Floor in bathroom was not well cleaned, but overall the property was very clean. Will stay there again.
