We were very disappointed with with the accommodations at the Lambeth Inn. This was a weekend getaway for my 2 sisters and myself. 1. When we entered our room--#334--, we found 2 used wash cloths in our bathroom. One was hung on the bathroom door and the other hanging over the shower rod. As we left our room for the evening, we told the desk clerk and suggested that our room be checked for cleaning. Her only comment was "I am sorry." 2. When we tried to call the desk, the phone didn't work. We went to the desk and reported this. A mantainence lady came and discovered the phone line was plugged back into the phone not in the wall. 3. There is mold on the table legs. 4. There was a stain on the wall where it appeared coffee had run down the wall from the table all the way to the floor. 5. There was no lamp on the table. The only lighting was on the wall between the 2 beds, which made the rest of the room quite dark. We found a lamp in the opened house keeping room two doors from ours, so we took it to our room. 6.We had to ask twice for more clean wash cloths on Saturday. We had put our dirty ones in the hall on Saturday morning, as instructed. I am 70 years old and have stayed at Lake Junaluska many times at different locations, but I have never been greeted with such poor conditions as these. If it had been our first trip, we would not return! Our stay was from Friday, October 24 through Sunday, October 26, 2025.

We paid extra for a lake-view room but were given one in a corner with no view at all. When we brought this to the front desk’s attention, the staff member simply replied, “You booked through a third party—Hotels.com—so the property can’t guarantee the room.” We were quite disappointed by both the room assignment and the lack of effort to address our concern, especially given the premium we paid and our expectations for better service. We are also concerned about the apparent disconnect between the hotel and Hotels.com, as it leaves guests caught in the middle without accountability from either side. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not recommend this property to others.

This hotel lacked much although the location is great. Upon checkin, the front desk did not know basic facts about nearby restaurants, pickleball rentals, hours, etc. When we requested a higher floor room, they said they were all not yet cleaned and refused to accommodate our request. The hotel and grounds needed a good overall cleaning…cobwebs abound on and around all outdoor fixtues, fences, entryways, chairs. Inside, it seems new carpeting was installed over the lumps and bumps of the subflooring creating a stumbling hazard. Housekeeping did not touch our room for the three-night stay although the front desk did supply towels and soap that we requested. The front lobby only had coffee until 9 am and they ran out of half-n-half for two of the three days forcing us to BUY coffee elsewhere. Pathetic! It has the potential of being a five-star hotel, but has missed the mark this time….I don’t know if we will consider staying here in the future based on how many things need improvement for the price they charge.

Worst hotel experience I have had in my 45 years of traveling for leisure and business. No maid service? Whoever heard of a hotel with no maid service! Especially one that advertises that they do. Our room was way, way smaller than any shown on your website. Very little care shown at the front desk - business as usual.

Very beautiful area and the hotel were stunning. Easy parking and pleasant surroundings. The only negative was that there were no dining options on the 2 days that we stayed. I understood that there was a wedding reception on one day. Easy short drive to Waynesville NC.

A Disappointment….

Room was clearly an older version with a rumpled and unsupportive bed, only one light in the room, and very small. This was in contradiction to the photos and description on the hotels.com website. Very disappointing, no acknowledgement or accommodation from the front desk staff when made aware of our concerns.
