Lovely stay
Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite and the room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable with a large bathroom and a separate seating and eating area. We had some nice food from Room Service and the service was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Ok but not great.
The heating wasn't working in the bedroom. Electric heaters were already in the room so they knew about it. Not enough space for breakfast. Had a long wait even though we had booked a slot. They struggled to keep the breakfast topped up. Reception area isn't big enough for more than one receptionist so had a wait to be attended to. Not enough beds around the pool.

I stayed here a few nights ago, no issues at all, my room was clean and tidy, breakfast was great. Every interaction with staff members was pleasant. My only tiny issue is and it may be my fault just as much - but the signage to the property isn’t fantastic and even though I know the area very well with living there for 8 years and I missed the turn off in thick fog granted, but it can be misleading. Apart from that issue I cannot fault the place

Enjoyable Christmas stay
Crabwall Manor looks stunning as you arrive. We visited during the Christmas period and it was decorated beautifully with lights and trees. Checkin was easy and staff helpful with ordering a tax so we could visit the Christmas market. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was really comfortable too. The blinds on the skylights were broken so, had to use a coat hanger to reach to close them. We also had a leak on the extractor fan in the bathroom. This was following a tremendous amount of rain. Reported to reception. Breakfast was really lovely. Great choice and even better quality. Dining area was decorated for Christmas. Nice environment to eat. The spa is betting ready for an overall. The changing rooms look tired with a few locker doors in desperate need of repair. The pool and pool area was clean with a small sauna and larger steam room. The steam room wasn’t working so, was simply a room unfortunately. There wasn’t any hot water for showers either due to a maintenance issue. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and the value for money was good. A little love and care in some areas and the hotel and spa will be even better!

The hotel looked really nice from the outside but was abit outdated inside. Was a great location for the price to get a uber into Chester for the Xmas markets. Was decorated for Xmas which we liked. Staff were not very friendly on check in , didn’t even tell us that there was a spa or gym to use or where to go for breakfast. Room was nice and clean , bed comfy. Would recommend for price and location and parking.

We found the hotel comfortable and clean . Staff are friendly but needs some entertainment in the evening. There were no Magazines newspapers or games to play. No welcome package in room ie places to visit and hotel facilities.

Nice place. Stayed in Very large suite. Great value for money. Lacking touches like tissues, no fridge, couldn’t stream from tv. Everything slightly tatty. Bed massive but quite hard and pillows like concrete. My nephew had soft pillows in his room so maybe I just lucked out. Paint splashes on dressing table and bedside tables that could have been cleaned off. Staff friendly. Helpful organising taxis but didn’t really provide any info on hotel when checking in eg WiFi code, restaurant and bar and heads up on pool availability for my young niece ( she couldn’t go swimming as it was adult time and we didn’t find out till we went along to the pool) No lift. Had to lug everything up 2 flights of stairs. No offer of help from reception. If I’d come with older relatives they would’ve struggled.

Excessively noisy & tired.
The room was large and spacious and the WiFi was fast and reliable. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. The downstairs area was nicely decorated for Christmas. The bar area was ok but service poor. David, the bartendender, was amiable but lacked any ability to multitask, often disappearing for a simple item like a spoon only to leave customers waiting for 10 minutes, seemlingly as if he had forgotten them entirely with drinks poured but not served. The biggest downfall was the ridiculous banging and crashing of doors and hotel infrastructure that was evident whilst in the room. This may be thin walls and creaky floors but was endless with only a couple of hours respite during the night. I may have been unlucky with my room allocation, even though I went superior, but restful it was not. Bring ear plugs as a necessity.

We had a lovely stay here! The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had 2 spa treatments, massage and Indian head massage, which was amazing, very relaxing. The hotel was decorated for Christmas which made the stay extra special. We did notice some areas of the hotel that could do with touching up and very squeaky floor boards while walking around the hotel. The spa facilities had everything especially loved the sauna. We did noticed again that the area around the pool could do with a clean throughout the day and the changing room, maybe just need to be kept on top off but noting that would stop me coming back.

Dirty duvet.
We enjoyed our stay, the hotel is lovely and the staff on breakfast service were very accommodating. However, my husband had to go to reception on the first night because we spotted a dark patch through the duvet cover, on pulling the cover back there was a patch of blood bigger than my hand. The lady who came in to remove the duvet didn't apologise, she just looked embarrassed. I was uncomfortable after this and went and bought my own cover to sleep under. I know this can be seen as an over-reaction, but that's how I felt. I do have a photo, but I dont think it's family friendly. It is ashame because this is the first time in 10 years since we've been away for my birthday.
