Property ideally centrally located. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Room could do with an update, towel rail connection held together with tape, dusty in some areas, generally clean, no remote for tv but can be controlled by buttons on the side of the tv, this gives you restrictive control.

Friendly staff but unfortunatly the room was not up to standard. Towel rail wires exposed ,light shades very dusty. Breakfast was not the best. Stayed a few months earlier on the third floor and the room there was to a better standard.

It’s a struggle to find anything positive to say about the hotel, other than its location. Our room was in need of a good polish. The main light in the room was in need of replacement and the toilet didn’t work properly. The breakfast was average. We did raise our concerns and were told the hotel manager would speak to us. The manager was conspicuous by his absence. The location Is literally the only reason for 2 stars

What a shame, and disappointment with this hotel. Breakfast was terrible more like a joke. Carpets in the room with stains . Bathroom tired and outdated This hotel needs new management

Fantastic value for money

Exceptional value for money! Stayed in a suite which was huge and also meant the kids and adults had separate but adjoining rooms. Location is excellent with cheap parking Very close by. Very clean and quiet, staff were all lovely and kids got a free breakfast which was very nice. Only slight issue was a lack of hot water when trying to use the shower. You won't find better value for your money in Chester.

Needs fully renovating. Shower tap fell off, no toiletries not even bar of soap for washing hands when been to the toilet, room much too hot even when radiator turned off, bathroom floor tiles loose, tv didn't work, breakfast was overcooked. On the good side location is fantastic

The location makes a tired hotel acceptable

Good location but the hotel is very tired and needs modernisation it’s not the cleanest dusty staircase and light fittings, carpet threadbare and grimes bathroom with no hot water, a cold shower first thing wasn’t great! The breakfast was a good standard and all staff very friendly.

Cold shower

We had a lovely stay, despite shower was cold and when mentioned to reception staff upon checking out, was told would make a note and that everyone who had stayed had experienced the same. Hotel and decor is dated in the rooms, bed was comfortable and room temperature was ok. Outdoor noise was a little disturbing early hours in the evening, lots of stairs.

Save your money and stay somewhere else, no soap in the bathroom they knew but just didn't say or give replace ment until asked , room cold heating did not work, breakfast was poor,, tables had not been cleared had to search for glasses, plates and butter.choice lvery limited for a hotel, coffee was in a pump vacuum flask and tasted awful , I asked to purchase a cappuccino and they told me this hotel chain does not have such coffee machines it's a policy. Staff were lovely but understaffed and manager was not available

Good location

Very noisy room towards the Main Street due to no double glazing on windows. Breakfast was very disappointing with very little choice for continental breakfast

Very dated

From the pictures the hotel looks very grand and nice, however i would say that it is deceptive. On the inside the room was very dated and old fashioned. The shower took an incredibly long time to heat up which was frustrating, it also wasnt very powerful. Bathroom was warm Bed was pushed against wall, which wasnt necessary as there would have been space to walk around Staff let me store my bag the next morning which was nice For what it was, id say it was expensive, especially as no food included. I wouldnt encourage staying here to other people, as i have stayed in nicer hotels in chester for the same price.
