We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at The Seven which is perfectly located for visitors to the city and the racecourse. Chester is a thriving city with ancient city walls you can walk around , a cathedral, the river Dee and the Shropshire canal plus shops and restaurants.We also caught the train into Liverpool and spent a full day there. We would definitely choose The Seven again

Lovely boutique hotel near Chester Market and the City Walls (two of the best things to do in the City); the self parking wasn't super-easy to find but was a bonus to have directly behind the hotel itself. Quiet but central location, fantastic decor.

We love staying here and use it when we are visiting our daughter at Uni. It's an ideal location and we are only a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants for the evening . It's also super close to the racecourse if people are visiting for that. The rooms are finished to a high standard and offer a comfy relaxed stay.

The room was nice, clean and very comfortable. Shower was good. The code you had to input into the door handle which is a new technology for me. Very conveniently placed near centre with a free parking space which was great (reserve before your visit). Staff friendly and helpful. I went for my birthday and read the ‘exceptional’ reviews and sorry maybe it was just the room we had but I wouldn’t agree. There was nothing that made it stand out I.e touch of luxury maybe bath in room. Lovely view… there was nothing wrong with the room but I expected more for the money we spent especially as we stayed on a Sunday when rooms normally cost less
