I am not a fan of the required additional cost for drinks & breakfast, plus perks for tickets we never planned on using. Either include that in the fare, or make it optional. We were not given sheets for the pull out for our kids, nor extra pillows or towels. Staff never answered the phone or would answer and hang up when we called to get these necessary extras.

Had a very good experience staying at this hotel. Room was clean, quiet, staff was friendly, location close to many restaurants and close to Michigan Ave. Also their breakfast was very good. Really a great hotel, will be staying here again.

Hotel is charging guests additional fees when they check in. The “mandatory taxes and fees” (above the taxes already assessed in the price) include a breakfast and six bottles of water no one asked for and for which one pays well over the $50 on the face value of the breakfast “coupon” you are given at check in. My experience was not an isolated incident. Two other people were checking in at the same time, and they were also surprised by the exorbitant extra fees (in my case $145 above the original quoted rate.)

The best features of the hotel is the staff. From all receptionists, servers, valet and the cleaning lady, everybody was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel has an "old soul" feel and could use sprucing up just a little. Not too many options for dinner in the area. I do highly recommend this hotel when you are in Chicago for sightseeing or leisure time.

Noise level in room was high on two of the three nights. Television loud noise from adjacent rooms at 1-2 AM. Sounded like a Gorilla Movie. On 3/22, loud talking from several adjacent areas at 1-2 AM preventing sleep
