You can tell just the bare minimum was done. Upon entry to the lobby the first noticeable things is how filthy the carpet is and then it gets worst as you make your way to the elevator. Thankfully the carpet on the second floor wasn’t as bad. The bathroom did not have a shower curtain. Shelving in the room was extremely dusty as well as the bedside lamps. The desk has cup rings. And the dishes in the dishwasher were not clean. The garbage disposal had a foul odor coming from it. And the recliner was broken.
The staff was friendly. The room had party decorations left by another guest. Had a balloon behind the recliner and streamer on the curtain. Also had a laundry basket full of dirty towels in the closet. Also found a crusty towel in a drawer. I told the front desk and they said when house keeping comes in they would take care of the towels and I did not trust it so I took all the linens off and took them down. The manger spoke with me and apologized and cleaned and brought them up. Not sure if I would stay there again.
I've stayed at this property a few years ago and but it wasn’t this bad. The lady working up front was very nice and tried her best, but…
Prior to the trip I received an email for a bid to upgrade our room at a discounted rate. Upon arriving the front desk staff state she could see an amount there but it was confusing as what it meant, she stated that the morning crew didn't leave her any notes to go off of just a list of clean/unclean rooms. She stated that she was the only person working in the property that. This was Friday around 8p.
I told her the extra amount she was seeing was most likely for the upgrade. Upon checking my room, it was a regular room which was fine, I just did not want to be charged extra
I asked her if I would be charged and she stated I shouldn't and that they had a few upgraded room open but they were all dirty except one, which was reserved. She told me she could go clean a room for me. I told her no because in my head it would not be cleaned property if she is not housekeeping.
As we checked in my partner inspected the room for cleanliness and he noticed the nightstand was dirty, but I told him I'd clean it because we were both tired. As he went to the bathroom the toilet was stopped up, a plunger was in a bag and I noticed fingerprints on the microwave, then we noticed the chair was dirty.
We moved to a new room, the bed was uncomfortable. The halls smelled of smoke. We checked out the next morning and went to the Hampton across the street
Our 1st room, the garbage was full in the bathroom, empty water bottles on couch, no toilet paper, toilet wouldn’t flush right (kept clogging). Plus dirty towels in bathroom. They handed us a plunger, they would not take care of the problem. Then they proceeded to say they have been having problems with the septic. Didn’t offer a solution. Next day toilet overflowed in bathroom, they switched rooms for us. The 2nd room was dirty. The floors were dirty, dirty towels and no toilet paper. We was told that it’s an extended stay so they only clean the rooms once a week, not after every guest. So with that being said, who knows if the sheets and comforter was even clean.
THE STAFF WAS GREAT. The room was PICKED UP but the room was a little disappointing in that the toilet didn't work and the walls needed painting. The room could have been cleaner but I am one who looks behind furniture for Cobb webs and such. Overall not a bad experience. Not a good experience outside of the staff service and customer service. Also wish they had a smoking room.
