The staff was friendly. Our room was clean. The hotel charged $25 for items that we only saw upon check in. For instance, if you wanted the water that was included in the $25 fee, you had to go to the front desk and ask for it. Other hotels we have stayed at replenished the water each day. When we went down to get coffee pods for our second morning, the front desk refused to give us clean coffee cups. We kept running into things that were odd like that throughout our stay.

Very nice hotel close to Red Line stop. Walkable to Restoration Hardware and many nice restaurants and shopping. We took the train to Field Museum. Great place to stay, quiet and safe at night.

Everything during the day was great. At night, starting about 2am this quiet neighborhood becomes and chaotic mess of people, fights, arguments, music, laughing, screaming, gun shots (the first night) and police (2 of 3 nights). Honestly the hotel is very nice and the rooms are great but you cannot stay in a low floor in the front of this hotel…it’s madness.

Had a historic, gilded age feel without being stuffy; modern enough for comfort while keeping style. Room was smaller than I imagined but not cramped. Only one chair in the room that goes with desk. Not in the best shape and not very comfortable.
