Staff were very friendly and the happy hour was a nice benefit. The property was clean but wasn't anything special. I didn't use any of the amenities so I can't speak to that. I appreciated how walkable the area was but the property was still relatively quiet which was nice, I would stay here again in the future

While I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I did have one night when the room next store decided to throw a party at 10:30 on a Tuesday night. The staff did respond to my complaints but it took two times before the neighbor complied.

Weekend trip to celebrate our daughter’s birthday who lives in Lincoln Park. We chose Claridge House for its location and cleanliness. It is a comfortable hotel located on a quaint street in Gold Coast which is within walking distance of Lincoln Park. It has an inviting lobby with games and a small bar that serves coffee and cocktails. We really enjoyed relaxing in the designated outdoor space in front of the hotel. Our room was clean and cozy and had a very comfortable bed which was perfect for a short stay. Wish the cost was a little more affordable so we could stay here more often.

I booked this hotel because it included a complimentary breakfast (I assumed it would be continental style). I was told they don’t offer that any more. The coffee maker in the room didn’t work, another one was brought up to replace it, that too was broken. The shower was SO nice, the lotion provided however was rancid, so I had to re-shower to get it off me. Nowhere ANYWHERE did I find where the Ice machine was located, I finally resorted to going to the lobby, for directions. The hotel was nice enough, just nothing particularly special. I will be unlikely be a return guest.

The room was larger than expected. We were concerned it would be loud from outside traffic but it was very quiet. Only real issue was bar with food seemed to be open only at random times. Parking was convenient though expensive, as all of Chicago is.

Great location! Walking distance to the lake and historic sites!! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, housekeeping was not the best! Our room was only cleaned once during our 5 day stay and our beds and towels were changed 2x. The sink was slow to drain and it was not fixed right away after we called for service. We didn’t like having to pay for urban fees that we didn’t use except for the WiFi that should be free anyway! We didn’t go to the happy hour since we don’t drink and not used any of the other facilities.
