We stayed here to move my son into his dorm. The location is very convenient and the historical building is cool. That said this was the worst mattress I’ve ever had in a hotel. It was so hard and uncomfortable, I had difficulty sleeping. The 2nd day, I never really got hot water in my shower. We also went to the bar to ask about a chocolate cake that someone in our party had there before. No one would really answer us until they sat us at a table and then they didn’t have it so it was super awkward. We only went in there for the cake. If someone would have just answered me when I asked about dessert. Despite its convenient location, I don’t think we will stay here again.

I'm not a frequent flyer so paying a lot of money for a room to sleep in is kinda ridiculous but I understand how the rates work. Aside from me trying to be cheap, this hotel was quite lovely and nostalgic. My room felt like an upgrade school kids bedroom. I wish I had a room so nice growing up. Someone called my room a few times being weird but overall I felt safe. I should have chosen this hotel when I first arrived. The restaurant is part of the deal and they were extremely professional and lovely people. Thank you all for your time.

Just my opinion, they should tell the staff that works there to be more friendly with the customer (I'm just clarifying that not all of them are bad), especially those that help you at the door with your suitcase, some of them are rude.

The room was much larger than I expected for the price and location. Everything was nicely updated. The location was great, in-between the Art Institute and Museum Row. It was just a few blocks from the CTA L, and there were several bus stops just outside the main entrance. I would definitely stay here again.

Much lower than my expectation in view of the price. The hotel has passed its old glory. When I arrived, the toilet did not flush, the door could not lock and the safe did not work. Rusty bathroom. It is not ideal for business traveller.
