I stayed one night in room 814 with my sister who had her own reservation. We were not able to use the pool due to it being extremely overcrowded. The next day I asked if I could stay the second night in the same room with my reservation and I was told that I could, but the cleaning person came and said she had to clean room 814. I was given room 813 instead I did not like room 813. I asked the cleaning person if I could get the room serviced and I was told that she was not assigned and was told by her manage not r to clean it. I informed her that I did not want room service so early in the morning, but I assumed at some point it would be serviced. I had no clean towels or toilet paper Kleenex or paper towels in the room and none that would assist. when I when to the service desk no one was there had to leave to my event. That evening when to the pool and was there for a short period of time got in the hot but and found broken glass near the tub I was barefoot and could have gotten hurt picked up the glass when to the service desk and clerk was not there again but the cleaning lady and gave her pieces of glass and told her that the pool are near the tub was full of glass, so I again was not able to use the facility. The next morning, I still no toilet paper had to go down and ask for towels and toilet paper. And on top I was over charged for parking. Not a good experience.

For the Price....They could do much better !

The service from the staff was lack luster we noticed they accommodated "others" differently at the Managers reception & at breakfast in the morning (It seemed like they didn't want to help or be there) Except one AA Worker who was kind & Helpful. The rooms were not cleaned well at all we had to switch from the original room they gave us because it had very noticeable filthy areas. We moved to the next room after getting settled we found hair rubber bands a football on the side of the couch and a opened bottle of water which let us know that this room was not properly either. Overall I was disappointed in our stay as I have stayed at the embassy before and you can tell that the service and quality of the rooms has went down. I also noticed a lot of the furniture in the rooms were tattered .The breakfast and managers reception quality goes down on the weekend. We Stayed Two week days and one weekend day. On a Thursday Breakfast was the best you received silver utensils and glass plates & a wider selection of hot breakfast items & full drinks at the managers reception. On the weekend you received plastic utensils and a smaller diffrent selection of hot breakfast Items. On the weekend they move the managers reception from the bar/resturant to the atrium the drinks are half the size & watered down and you also have to pay for parking each day in which they bill to your room. They also didn't have enough security there was people running the halls

The overall service was good and the staff was helpful. The only issue I had was with the bathroom not being clean. The option given was to move to another room with a dirty bed. I asked for someone to clean the bathroom, was denied because there wasn’t any cleaning staff (but I had just seen them pass my room), which then someone came to clean.

It was an easy to check in process, the room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate the atrium area and the many tables they had that you could sit at. The breakfast was fabulous, great selection, made to order omelets, pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausage, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, muffins, and more. The bartenders were great. I didn’t make use of the pool or hot tub during my stay. I would definitely go back.

The hotel advertise, a pool, which upon check-in was closed for maintenance on a Saturday. Then we were told that we would receive a refund and canceled our stay, only to never receive the refund and never receive a response when we attempted to reach management, despite the fact that the manager at the front desk claimed we would undoubtably receive the refund within 72 hours

Nice stay

Very nice hotel close to Chicago. Reasonable price, spacious rooms, comfy beds! Great nightly cocktail /snack service at no charge and good breakfast. The hotel is large and hosts alot of people but I found the room to be quiet.

Although the property and the furnishings are dated, it still was a comfortable space. The bed was very comfortable and we rested well. Breakfast was a little bit different, but it was still good. Of course it’s a very large hotel so there were a lot of people, including a lot of children. They were not so loud that we heard them through the walls so that was good. All in all, I’d say it was a good stay.

We have stayed at this hotel over 15 times in the last 6 years. The lack of attention to details (room maintenance, common area cleanliness, a parking fee that never existed before, desk staff that seem to pay more attention to one party over others, and lack of control of large groups) is getting noticed. After 11 PM I had to call the front desk about the groups of youths two nights in a row. With the parking add on fee, I am forced to consider another brand on my next upcoming travel to Oakbrook.
