Nice property, right on the train line. Parking was easy at the lot right next door. Rooms were very small, but worked well for just a place to crash for the night. Unique decor and secure entrance.

This place feels more like a repurposed asylum than a boutique hotel. Stark, cold, and eerily quiet — no music, barely any lighting, and zero hospitality. Staff were rude, manager worse, and maid service skipped our room entirely during a 4-night stay. Oh — and the elevator? Broken the whole time. No bar, no food, no gym (unless you count two dusty Pelotons in a sad little rec room). Located on a loud train track with nothing walkable nearby. Could’ve had potential, but no amount of “industrial chic” decor hides the fact that this place is just bleak. Avoid.

Beware of the “benefits package fees” that this hotel makes you pay at your check in - along with the previous room fees I already paid prior to arriving at the hotel. This is absolutely ridiculous fees to charge guests and 2 free alcoholic drinks (a night) does not equal $436 worth of benefits packages. Imo. Don’t stay here- you will be ripped off.

Such a cool spot! Loved the industrial vibe of the building and the super cool decor. The room was clean, minimal, and simple—no frills, but honestly, nothing more was needed. As city people, we didn’t mind the train at all—actually thought it was pretty cool watching it go by our window. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, and we loved being able to walk to nearby lounges and great places to eat and drink. Definitely recommend!

After receiving multiple confirmation emails/texts throughout the day, my husband, juvenile daughter and I arrive at the hotel only to be told that our reservation had been canceled. According to the desk clerk, this happens all of the time. He did offer to try to find us another hotel but we did our own research and booked elsewhere. However, this was on a friday evening and aside from the severe inconvenience, the new hotel cost us a lot more money. And I never once received an email/text advising us of the cancelation, nor have I heard a word afterwards. Barely an apology, and this is repeat behavior from this chain according to one of their own employees.

AC was broken. Staff was able to provide two old box fans but barely made a difference. Hot, stuffy, smelly conditions all night/morning. Was told that they would waive the resort fee but who knows/cares.

We showed up in the evening to be told that they had overbooked the hotel and did not have a room for us. It was not just us, the guests in front of us did not have a room, and two more guests behind us did not have a room. We had to find a room at 9 pm in Chicago and double the price.

Not the most friendly staff, but decent place to stay and served its purpose for what we needed. Don’t understand the check-in process via text since when we arrived, essentially had to do the whole thing over again in-person. Also they couldn’t initially find my reservation. All and all, wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re in a pinch snd need a last minute place to stay.

This hotel was interesting. I have good parts and bad parts about it. The good things were that I liked the hotel, the sporty design of the spaces, and the room itself. The location was good and close to the lake and magnificent mile, art museum, etc. So that was good. The bad part was that upon my arrival there were issues at the front desk. The hotel had overbooked the property and luckily I was able to get a room with my family, but the next couple of groups that came to check in were turned away even though they had a reservation. I saw 2 different irate groups of people get turned away, by an extremely patient front desk worker at the hotel. I felt bad for the worker because the hotel chain put him in the horrible position to have to tell people that their room reservation didn’t exist and that being the weekend in Chicago, there were no rooms available anywhere that didn’t cost over $500 per night. There were some very mad people. The other horrible thing this hotel chain did was post a nightly rate but then make you accept a $93 ‘amenities fee’ for no reason. There were no amenities to speak of. No pool. No exercise weight set. No breakfast. Just an exercise bike and a keurig coffee maker in the basement. I felt like the extra charges was a complete scam, especially because there was a threatening sign posted in the lobby saying something like, ‘do not argue with or yell at the front desk staff about property fees or your reservation will be revoked! Stay elsewhere.

Horrible Experience – Do Not Book This Hotel Through Expedia or Otherwise! I had an absolutely terrible experience with this hotel that I would never wish on anyone. I had already booked and received confirmation through Expedia, and when I showed up to check in late at night, I was told the hotel was sold out. No explanation, no accountability – just a cold apology at the counter and a dismissive attitude. They refused to honour the confirmed reservation, kicked me out in the middle of the night, and left me stranded with no alternatives. Every nearby hotel was also sold out. I was left with nowhere to go, no solution, and no help from the hotel staff who simply shrugged it off as if it wasn’t their problem. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If you can’t trust a hotel to honour a confirmed booking, especially late at night, then what’s the point of booking in advance at all? Expedia should remove this hotel from their platform immediately. I highly urge everyone to stay away from this property – do NOT book this hotel, ever. It’s not worth the risk. They do not care about guests, even those with valid, prepaid reservations. You deserve better.

I liked that it was different, minimal (which I consider good!), and that parking was nearby. Perfect for us as we were only spending one night and found it super convenient for our needs. It was comfortable, could NOT hear the el running by, clean, friendly staff. The only thing that I did not like was the mandatory package that was of no use at all to us. I wish they would reconsider that and make it an option instead. Other than that I worked out great for us.

Next too railway : (

The pricing is intransparent. The bill I got from the hotel does not match the invoice from hotels.com. confusing 3rd party booking. The hotel is about 50 feet away from a railway. Very loud. No coffee maker in room. Overpriced in my opinion.
