First night was horrible , small room was allocated with no place to open bags, it was so small that half TV was covered by Lamp. It was suppose to be non smoking room, but had to face cigar smell. They charged me 69$ per day for 4 nights for Vallet, which I didn't even use; all I wanted to do was park my car in hotel parking and use Uber. But during check-in they took my key from me and parked, and on the 4th day they gave me my key back. They did not mention this during my stay. No, I am not getting my deposit back as they charged $69/night * 4 days without using Vallet Service.

I really enjoyed my stay. From check-in (super quick) to check-out. Stayed in King with a view and the extra cost was worth it. Late night and early morn views were spectacular. No outrageous noise. Clean room. Good hot breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to everything. I was car free so I didnt have that extra cost. But valet and parking were readily available though costly. One could check the website for the city parking because there are parking lots everywhere and maybe it might be cheaper. Walking distance to everything including shopping, dining and thr theatres. The only downside was working the TV (what a headache) and forget trying to watch a movie. No TV guide and poor remote. Thankfully, I rarely ever attempted it. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Great property for price, location, breakfast and updated rooms. The HVAC unit made a lot of noise. And odd sounds. Bathmats would be a nice offering as the tub was a bit slippery. Way more pros than cons.

The lobby and rooms were a lot smaller than I anticipated. I got the king sized bed but there’s no microwave. The TV, table, and coffee machine are right next to the bathroom. Luckily we only stayed for a night but given the price I paid for the room, I expected a little more. Also didn’t appreciate the guy checking us in assuming that I booked on Expedia because it’s cheaper (totally wasn’t even aware) when I asked about getting my hotel key digitalized. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, it's in an excellent location and is super walkable. We had a great time, but the room was not very clean. Drawer handles and floors were sticky, walls had splatters, bathroom was grimy and the toilet was loud and running randomly. I had Clorox wipes with me and my friend and I aren't confrontational or picky, so we didn't say anything but it was a bit of a bummer.

The lobby of this property is absolutely beautiful - it's a restored Art Deco era building that used to be the Chicago Motor Club, and much of the details have been either renovated or restored. Their breakfast has plenty of choices for this type of hotel. Our room was very clean and quiet for a busy city area. The only reason we gave it less than 5 starts is that the bar was not open, and the front desk service was mixed. Otherwise the location is perfect and we would definitely stay there again.

This location was so convient to everything downtown. The staff was great and friendly. The room was quiet and clean. Just slighty stuffy but not a big deal. Breakfast buffet was delicious and filling. I would stay here again

Great location, very walkable although our room was not the cleanest bath tub had some rust and shower curtain rod was taped to the wall as it seems it had previously been broken and the carpet felt dirty. Breakfast was very good and I liked how they had a mini store in the front that had higiene necessities, snacks, drinks and also frozen food. Overall 3.5/5

Great location. Close to dining options and attractions. We had an early flight in and was able to get early check in. The staff opened up the free breakfast early for the chicago marathoners. Overall was a great stay and will stay here again.

Room had strange odour on arrival with poor air circulation. However, we were able to turn on the AC & fan which made a huge difference. Room was ok, with 2 double beds and a desk, nice small fridge. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom needs a proper clean as there was visible grime on the towel holder. The positive: amazing location, the river is a block away, and there are many options for restaurants nearby. A huge shout out to the lady managing the breakfast area!! She kept the food/coffee/drink stations well stocked and replenished items promptly. She also made sure the area was tidy and was constantly wiping down the counters. Amazing! The negatives: house keeping or rather lack of. This hotel services the room every 2nd day, which in my opinion is perfectly acceptable. However, during our 7 night stay, our room was only serviced properly 1 time. We were out of our room most days until mid afternoon so there was plenty of time for housekeeping to enter. Whenever we called on our return, we were told housekeeping would get to our room. However, no one would show up. After repeated requests, one day someone came and gave us new towels and emptied the garbage. On another day, they did the same with the addition of making the beds. No real cleaning was done. I had to track down someone to give us shampoo and soap. Front desk response was unprofessional and ‘we are short staffed’. Don’t make it the customer’s problem! Woken up daily by loud noises at ~2:30 am
