Stayed for one night on the 10th floor. Yes it is cheaper when you book but make sure you ask about your charges. Get a receipt when you check out. It is a hotel and not used to having to pay for parking. Their was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and you can tell there was water damage in the other part of the room that was fixed poorly. Did not complain as i was only their to sleep but could of been way better.

Our stay at the Sonesta Chicago O'Hara was nice. The room was clean and the staff was really attentive and nice, they had excellent customer service 👏. I didn't give 5 stars because the room set up. There were basically 2 bedrooms, one was openlike the majorityofhotelrooms and the other had a door for privacy, however to get to the bathroom you had to go through the other bedroom with the door. Other than that our stay was great!!

Vet comfortable hotel which was reasonably priced at the time I booked compared to Hyatt or Hilton. Close to the Stephenson Convention Center.

Sonesta is a Scam
It was an okay stay, but because I went through Hotels.com, they charged me an extra $20 per night because I went through a third party. It doesn't even tell you that on the website, so I was scammed about $60. The room keys also decided to not work and had to get them switched out twice as soon as we checked in. They can't really help it, but the room also echoed extremely.

Room and hotel, in general, were clean and it’s convenient to the airport and rental car area. However, there aren’t many included amenities. There’s no breakfast option and any sort of extra is an added expense. Beyond that, the A/C in my room was horribly loud with an annoying rattle. Even though the thermostat was set to 68, the room wouldn’t get any cooler than 72. I had to set it at 65 to get to 69 and it ran almost constantly. The vent was also pointed directly at the bed, so I was either freezing or roasting through the night. I told the front desk at checkout and they didn’t seem to care all that much. If it weren’t for the amazing dinner at Harry Caray’s I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Basic hotel. Lobby seems cold and impersonable, gives the impression of a budget motel in a high ruse building. Very convenient for an overnight stay for an early morning flight though. If you are looking for amenities, this is not the place.
