Lake View Junior Suite

Beautiful lake view room, we were upgraded to a junior suite, 8th floor. Beautiful room. Two window units to provide heat or AC. Lovely location right across from walking trails on lakefront. Excellent valet service made the car situation easier.

My husband and I came to Chicago for a concernt and I booked a room here because I liked the location. I reserved a king room with a lake view. When we arrived, our room wasn’t ready, so they offered us a junior suite, but said it may not have a lake view. We didn't mind waiting as we had dinner plans anyway. They gave us some vouchers for the rooftop bar and kept our luggage at the front desk. When we came back from dinner, they had very kindly put is in a junior suite woth a lake view. Delores at the front desk was super friendly and helpful in recommending some local restaurants. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The mattress was a bit firmer than I might prefer, but we slept well. Location is great, and we enjoyed walking around Lincoln Park and the zoo, as well as the surrounding neighborhood. We would stay here again if we come back to Chicago.

We checked in and checked out the same day and got a new hotel. Smelled so bad and the mattress was pretty uncomfortable. I’ve tried to send messages to speak to someone about refund options but no one has reached out.

This is my second stay. Great location, great staff - and really fun rooftop bar/restaurant. I will likely stay again - but it is worth noting that the building is in serious need or refurbishing. The carpets and furniture look very worn and outdated. Perhaps it is in the works - but only detraction on what was an overall good stay.

I love this property. It was right on the lake across from a free zoo with a park and it's pet friendly. Room was adequate and clean the staff was amazing. The best part about it was the rooftop bar on a 75° day in downtown Chicago.
