I am a former Dir of Housekeeping of a 393 room Westin Hotel. People expect two things at a minimum Overall decent room. Clean, tall ceilings. For a Hyatt hotel I expect better pillows on bed. 4 standard pills on a (pillows themselves were great) king bed. Should be two king pillows and two standard pillows. Room 630. Room was clean, mini suite. Full size dishwasher was a nice surprise. Didn’t use it. Mini fridge, microwave, cook top.

The property and service was nice. The room was comfortable and cozy. The only thing that needs work is the parking. The parking is small and the parking lines are slim which is why a lot of people parked in two spots, making it difficult for parking.

Great place to stay

Beautiful hotel! Reasonable price. Amazing view. Great location, we were within walking distance of the stadium and some other places we wanted to go to. We will be back.

A nice stay in Chicago

This property is a reclaimed hospital, which Hyatt manages under its Hyatt house brand. It’s very close to the freeway, close to West Loop and right near a CTA. It’s on the rush memorial Hospital campus. The rooms are big and spacious. They have breakfast in the morning. And for those in the know, there is parking available on Wood Street for five dollars a night over the weekend.

Good hotel for price

The hotel was super clean, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice. The parking lot is awful. And they messed up my reservation, I was supposed to have a room, where all six of my family members could stay however, they did not have any more of those rooms so my husband and I had to split up with our kids Which was super inconvenient

Amazing stay!!

My Sister and I have DEFINITELY placed Hyatt House Chicago/Medical District on the top of our Chicago places to stay!!! Everything from the room layout to the staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We had to come to Chicago to be with our dad who is hospitalized at Cook County/John Stroger’s hospital, so we searched for places near. Hyatt House is literally across the parking lot from the hospital, so location wise was perfect. We entered our room which was VERY clean and spacious for two. There was plenty of storage space and a small kitchen area that included a sink and stove top. We are a little germ cautious so we usually bring our own cleaning supplies. We didn’t need to use them (we still ran a bleach wipe on the knob’s and toilet for peace of mind), this room was very clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They showed us how to get to the hospital, and when we came back they were very caring about how our visit went. The restaurant and bar on the 2nd floor are nice additions. You don’t have to just sit in your room if you don’t want to leave out. D.J you were one of our favorite parts of our stay if not our favorite part!!! He greeted us every time he saw us, he was attentive and helpful. We simply mentioned towels and he had them ready for us when we returned. He asked about our father’s health and his concern for our current mind state every time and it truly felt genuine. We are truly grateful for you and hope to see you out next stay!!
