EXPEDIA BEWARE: Third Party Bookings like this, are purposely overbooked, thinking people will cancel. As such, the extra space room that I booked (a suite) and pre-paid for on the Expedia site, that I needed for a family member, was no longer available when I arrived at check-in time. The staff tried to accommodate me, though -- providing a similar room or one that was "less than" (aka, a regular/small standard room), and also comped our dinner at their H Bar. Only one person was working in the kitchen on a Thursday night with a major event in the area, causing a bit of a delay for service. But the meal was good. The area is great if you are medical staff at the surrounding Rush hospital. However, it is not a convenient location to walk places. I chose it for its proximity to the United Center for an event. Uber picks you up in the front. No shuttle services. The parking lot is a nice touch and it appears they have a "dog park" on site. The doorway atrium was littered with garbage, but the interior was clean.

What’s unique about this property is the money and time of the restoration. This is a great historical building. I was born there when it was a hospital and my first born son. The bedding was comfortable and I love the setup of the room. but I think that they’ve let the standards go down as far as cleanliness. It was quite a bit of dust in the hallways on the tables and the furnishing, the parking lot had a lot of garbage in it and the food service was not clean. The food that should’ve been hot was cold so it’s some things that need to be given attention,to keep up such a great historical place.

This property should be shut down until proper soundproofing is installed in rooms. I could not sleep due to hearing next door people talking and jiggling through the night. Staff are not flexible. Promised on-site parking was not available. This place is a disappointment.
