Great time

My sister, son, and I went on a last minute trip to Chicago. We normally gravitate towards Hyatt Place wherever we go. They are usually priced well and give us a nice feel overall. Here was no exception. Staff was so nice and helped us with any questions we had during our stay!

Hotel was good. Some front desk staff were great and others weren’t very attentive. The housekeeping staff is really fantastic and does an incredible job. They don’t clean up the parking lot often as there was garbage and bottles in it throughout our stay. We ended up picking it all up ourselves

Great staff and love that they had a happy hour. Patricia was so nice and took great care of everyone. Even set up an area for our family to eat pizza. Pool was less than great. Water was so cloudy, you couldn’t see one foot below the surface. Tons of kids with lots of inflatables. One group had no parents with them. Very loud. Kids were running around and one fell on the slippery deck. Staff was very good and came after being made aware of what was going on. Would definitely come back for the staff and the rooms. The pool definitely needs more attention. Can’t rate breakfast. It was very crowded and we couldn’t get near the food.

Beware rooms are not cleaned

To start the it took 30 mins for the front desk attendant Vikter to come to the door. It’s was 2:30 am when we arrived. He was sleeping in the back. I had to pry the door open with hands to get in. His service was lack luster and non existent. Once checked in to room 402 we discovered brown stains on the sheets and pillows. Called front desk to make Vikter aware. He has zero response and is completely clueless in problem solving skills. I then said we’d like another room. He gives us another room 102. We go to check that room only to find pubic hairs in the bed and the towels were stained. Once letting Vikter know that we wanted to check out and receive a refund, he said he would let the manager know. He did not. I’ve spent $232 and been getting the run around about my refund from Hotels.com and the hotel manager. I do not recommend using this site as I’ve had this problem before. I will not be using hotels.com again nor will I return to this Hyatt hotel. Photos of sheets and pillows below

Good Weekend!

This is our second time staying here and it was very good. Breakfast was yummy (I love waffles) and the service is good. Only one small complaint - On Saturday I asked for our room to be cleaned on Sunday and it was never done. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We will be back!

Nice suburb hotel

Quick one night stay while in the suburbs. The hotel itself was nice but was overrun with a couple travel sports teams which made breakfast very chaotic and the pool was so packed full of people we couldn't enjoy it with our kids.

Had a great visit. We asked for a crib and was given a pack and play that we made due with. Nice location and area. Friendly staff. A bit busy and loud and only one evator was working but we used stairs since we were only on 2nd floor. Alcohol bottles left in parking lot was the only negative for outside. Breakfast was yummy and hot but busy.. pool was clean and kids had a blast.

Came here to spend a day in the pool with my grandchildren. We went in for less than 1/2 hr because The pool was so dirty you couldn’t even see the bottom. One of my grandkids lost their goggles and they couldn’t be found. Another said there was too much hair he kept getting in his mouth/face. Needless to say we did not stay in the pool and I had to find other activities to do which cost more $$ that I did not intend to spend. Additionally, the front desk personnel was unpleasant and gave us a hard time about getting more pillows and blankets. Firstly we were told we had to go down and get them ourselves. When I asked for 4 pillows and 2 blankets we were told we could only have 2 pillows and 1 blanket. I insisted that my reservation was for 4 kids 2 adults and therefore I needed a total of 4 additional pillows and 1 more blanket. They begrudgingly gave me what I needed. The saving grace was the room size which was very nice and the breakfast was decent. Overall I was very disappointed especially being a Hyatt hotel
