The hotel has a great location, the room was very big but the furniture was a little old, the atention in the front desk was excellent. Sure i will back again.

Not a business travel friendly hotel
I had a really bad experience. I came back after a long day of work to find that my room had not been cleaned. I called the front desk and they told me "the person that was supposed to clean your room was not there today and we didn't have resources." The front desk was extremely dismissive and basically told me "it is what it is; if you're not happy, go somewhere else." They offered me $50 of restaurant credit. The next day, the housekeeping manager told me that this was not an accurate statement and she had no idea why my room had not been cleaned. Also, this is not a business friendly hotel and I was there for business. There is no coffee machine in the room, there is no room service, and the restaurant does not have a phone. The only way to place a take out order is either online (does not allow for room charge) or to physically show up. The coffee was old and the food was bad. Bathroom had a tub with a curtain and really old fixtures, so was not the luxury hotel it advertised. Overall, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Great, clean, modern hotel in heart of Chicago’s shopping and entertainment area. Very friendly service! Great rooms and bathrooms. Love the morning coffee and just can’t beat the location. Only complaint was to upgrade the bedding and size of pillows.

This property and the staff is like my home away from home! Excellent location, welcoming staff and wonderful accommodations! Gabby at the front desk was a sheer delight from the moment I arrived! So welcoming and hospitable! The Sonesta River North adds all of the small things that make it an exceptional place to stay! Water in the rooms, morning coffee station in the sitting area which also has a nice fireplace all made my stay enjoyable! Nate, at the bar was also a delight as I made my way for my nightly margarita! I love this property and will always make it my first choice when I visit my family in Chicago! Thank you for this hidden gem!
