Lobby and common area are attractive and stately. Breakfast area is cavernous! Nice breakfast with a decent amount of choices. Rooms are typical of Residence Inns. Weren't happy with our first room but managers were very helpful switching rooms. Very conveniently located for public transportation.

All staff are very friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check in earlier and left my bags with them after I checked out. The hotel is clean and its location is close to everything. The breakfast is good enough for a day start. My only complaining is sirens from the streets at night, but this is unavoidable due to its location within the Loop.

We have 8 lb small dog staying with us. We never get notified she was charged by pets fee for $150/night before we booked room and during check in and out. The charge is on the bill which sent by email. This is hidden fee charged without notice. Our small yorkee was third times to stay with us in Chicago downtown hotel but she is first time got charged.

Shopping on State Street was nearby. Millennium Park is also nearby as well as Wacker Drive that runs along the river. We did a lot of walking and felt safe the entire time both day and night. My daughter has coeliac disease and the host in Roanoke was exceptional in helping me find a takeout meal that would be appropriate for her. I appreciated his time and understanding. We did not use housekeeping throughout our stay because we prefer that no one comes into our room. Everything was in order when we checked in and we appreciated that we were given access to our room well before official check in.

Our stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the location was excellent - close to public transportation and within walking distance of major landmarks. The breakfast offered was good, and our room was spacious, providing ample comfort. However, we experienced some significant issues. The phone in our room didn't work throughout our entire stay, which was a major inconvenience. This meant my husband had to make multiple trips to the front desk for basic requests like extra towels and bedding. Additionally, our room was not cleaned on one day, and the trash wasn't taken out, further adding to our frustration. While the hotel has some great features, the lack of attention to basic amenities and services detracted from our overall experience. With some improvements in maintenance and guest services, this hotel could be a top choice for travelers.

What an amazing find in downtown Chicago. The staff is outstanding. The kindest, most helpful staff you could ask for. I had a huge room that was clean and comfy and supplied with extra blankets which is exactly what you need in Chicago. The breakfast they serve is full of every option you could ask for and they even have alternative milks for coffee. The food is fresh and abundant. The hotel itself is beautiful with old guilded charm. Truly my new place in Chicago.

It was clean and easy to get to. The location was great and were able to get to the venue with a short walk.
