There was an excessive amount of trash on the floor, and the carpet was missing. The room had a filthy smell of marijuana or whatever substance was being smoked in there. The room numbers were taped to the doors. It felt more like a trap house you would see in a b movie.

Extremely Disappointing Stay-Avoid Until Reno done

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in years. The property is *under construction*, which should’ve been clearly communicated ahead of time. First, **there were no real bed pillows** instead, they used *square couchlike cushions* with pillowcases on them. Not only was this uncomfortable, but it also felt like a corner-cutting move that set the tone for the rest of the stay. The **linens and towels smelled odd**, like they hadn’t been properly laundered, and the washcloths were threadbare and the towels were far from soft — scratchy and worn down. One of the most frustrating issues was the motion sensor lights in the room. They turned on randomly during the night and every time someone got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It completely disrupted our sleep, and despite mentioning it after 1st night, no one addressed the issue. Housekeeping also didn't clean the room during our 3 night stay. I was told the don't clean every day, but would come by on the 2nd day which I said was fine. But, no one came by to refresh towels, take out trash, or make the bed. The gym was very small and the equipment outdated, but we were still able to use it. Unfortunately thought, it smelled old and unclean like the room did. There wasn't any water, towels, or wipes either. Lastly, the breakfast had no gluten-free options, which was a major issue for someone with dietary restrictions.

Great find for a short trip

Nice quiet place for the night no matter where you're going after. Clean with a very friendly staff. Printer doesn't work, but there's a kinkos down the street. I recommend if you find yourself looking for a place to stay.

Chicago Trip in June

This was a decent stay in a comfortable room in an area that I felt safe in. The breakfast was decent every morning and it was never too crowded or missing any food items. The only complaint I have is the lighting in the room itself. Everything was on sensor lights so anytime I made a move or to go to the bathroom the main light came on which became very inconvenient.

I got a really good rate so i wasn't expecting the property to be this nice. I was placed on the top floor where some uodating needed to be done in the hallway, but the room was really nice. No microwave, but everything else was very good. I would definitely stay here again if I could get a low rate close to what i paid on this trip.

This is an old building, but staff is very cooperative and helpful. Overall room was very clean but since it’s an old building, it needs upgrades, if you want to stay here for a night, as you are passing through Chicago, then this is a very good place to stay. I will give it 4 star, breakfast and staff is excellent.
