We've been traveling for over 30 years and this hotel is the worst hotel that we've ever stayed at. The service is mostly nonexistent and argumentative. Their idiotic check in process left my family locked out of the hotel in the freezing cold with our luggage.The rooms are extremely loud. We could hear everything our neighbors were doing and the noise from the bars kept us up until 2am. This place is a joke. Stay away from this hotel!
Absolute scam, they have hidden fees that they don't say are hidden. Many other reviews on this site that give this place 10/10 are probably bots, just look up the extremely low rating on Google maps.
Be prepared to pay several hundred more dollars than you originally intended.
A pleasant surprise tucked on Clark St!
I wasn’t sure what to expect with no staff on property…..but it works!
The only thing is the “resort fee” should be very clearly included in the total cost of the stay. It was more expensive that I originally planned……but it is a great location and a wonderful hotel!
Good and easy communcation with the guest services by phone. No wait time to speak to guest services at all. However, no cheap parking on site, and parking neabry can be expensive also.
The hotel was in a great location. I enjoyed how much there was to do in the area within walking distance. The room, albeit a little on the small side, suited our needs perfectly.
The only thing I would point out is that this location is in the heart of Wriggleyville. As such, you cannot expect it to be quiet in the evenings, especially Thursday-Sunday.
I'm sure I would have loved this property had I been able to check in. The room was paid for in advance, but on the day of my arrival, I was informed by text that my credit card wouldn't go through to pay for the incidental charges claiming possible fraud alert. I reluctantly texted them a second card: the same thing happened. I drove to my bank and was told that there was nothing wrong with either cards, no fraud alerts, and in fact no one had been attempting to use it. I suspected something shady was going on with this property, so I found another place to stay. Unfortunately, I could not get a refund due to Orbitz's policies. I am now very wary of booking any accommodations that rely on contactless check-ins.
I never received my code to get my keycard, although I arrived several hours early, I was contact 7 hours after "check in" to enjoy my stay but still never got my keycard code. I was scammed out of $300 and their manager refused to refund me.
The room was furnished well and large glass shower was excellent. The bed was comfy. Area near Wrigley Field had a lot of restaurants and fun nightlife and going to the ballgame was great! However, it was extremely noisy at night from the throbbing music coming from bars with windows open on the street below which lasted til midnight.
Also the parking garage next door— not part of the hotel— ripped us off. They listed a max charge of $45 for 24 hours stay. Even though we entered after 4pm and exited the next morning at 10:20 am —- they charged us $120 total — they added on a $75 game day parking charge saying we had overstayed the 10am cut off time for game days) not posted on the clark street entrance) .
The rug in the room was very dirty, especially by the bed (room 206); luckily there were lots of clean towels, so I just covered the rug with a towel. The TV remote was pretty defective, making it very hard to change the channel. There is a mandatory fee of about $60--I was trying to save money by staying here so this was weird.
