Great breakfast and location. You can walk the magnificent mile or take a bus right in the corner. The room is antique and very nicely designed. You feel like a real queen in the room. Very nice if you like history. The staff were great as well!

super safe and convenient area! i love the no partying policy. this is the best sleep i've had out of the many hotels i've stayed at. the black out curtains and blocking out of noise pollution was incredible. staff were so hospitable and accommodating. if you're still in between properties, please don't hesitate to choose this one

Great hotel in the city

Room was great. Beds were very comfy. They have breakfast that's included that was delicious with lots of different options. Wish parking would of been included it was 56$ a night to park in the ramp. Would definitely stay here again.

The Whitehall Hotel is in a very convenient location—just a short walk to the Red Line (Chicago–Chicago Station) and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is old but has been renovated, and it’s comfortable enough for a couple of nights. The staff were helpful whenever I needed something, which I appreciated. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. The options were basic (eggs, bacon, cereal, potatoes), but the quality wasn’t great. The bread and croissants seemed stale, and everything was overly greasy. I couldn’t even find simple sliced bread or butter. Overall, the hotel works well for a short stay if location is your priority, but don’t expect much from the breakfast.

For how much they charged for a stay at this hotel was not very good, was not impressed. The person who helped me at the front desk she was alright I couldn’t hear her and she was talking to me like I’m stupid. I had asked her for directions and told her I’ve never been to Chicago and I’m sorry I can’t hear her. The elevator is extremely slow and sometimes was waiting over 5 minutes for it to come to the 4th floor. I just used the staircase every time I had to get somewhere. The bed was very comfortable, but the shower was dirty with hairs in it. They told me parking was free it was not..never again

For the price and location, you cannot beat it. Yes, the building is old and a little dated, but it is a historic building which I thought was really cool. The rooms are clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating.
