When we arrived at 12:30 AM, we were greeted immediately with a polite and friendly manner. The woman had already responded to our online reservation and was quick with the room key and $10 pet fee (much less than what we’re used to paying). Due to the location, there was highway noise — earplugs took care of it.

Supposed to have free breakfast. No such thing. Very noisy. He put us on the noisy side so the place looked busy. Only one guest got the quiet side. Ac was quiet, but temps were way off.

A bit of wear and tear but overall a great quick place to stop, lay your head and sleep for the night. Clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet even though it's right off the highway. I would call ahead and ask them to turn on the AC prior to your arrival. It got cool within an hour but that first hour was HOT!

It's Nice...
The Green Bird was just fine. We as a society seem to gravitate to large corporate chains when there are perfectly lovely "little guy" motels available. I personally like being able to back up to the door to get my things inside, rather than dragging my stuff on a cart and fighting an elevator.

Room 109 had a terrible smoke smell that was intense. We were so exhausted from our road trip that I didn't complain ... just went to sleep. I should have returned to the front desk. I have no idea if the other rooms were smoky. :(
