Location is great and rooms with balcony have partial dockside view. Kitchenette room has full size fridge. Pool is nice but not heated so a little chilly when we visited in may.

I found it to be great value for the price. Wish I'd had enough time to enjoy the pool and fire pit, both looked very welcoming. The bar has happy hour, staff there are nice. Lots of variety at breakfast (though quality is basic). Nice view outside of the sunset. Wish they splurged a few more cents on better disposable in-room coffee cups/lids (lid fit is flimsy and cup bends - burning hot coffee ended up spilling all over me in the car).

Nice room and friendly staff, but that's about it. The breakfast was the worst I've had at a hotel and the pool needs work. There was no tiki bar like described and birds poo-ed all over the pool deck and furniture. They even swam in the pool which you can't really help, but someone should be out there cleaning the pool deck and furniture during pool hours.

I do not recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The rooms had a bad odor, and the bathrooms were in the same condition. Furthermore, the room phones were not working, making it difficult to reach the staff. To make matters worse, the pictures on the platform do not match the reality of the hotel at all; it looks like a completely different place. Overall, a very poor stay.

The check- in was easy and the clerk very sweet and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised after reading some reviews about broken showers and musty smells. Our room was SUPER clean and roomy-the bathroom clean and in excellent repair. The bed was very comfortable and we rested and slept well. The a/c ran constantly but it was super hot out so no problem. The room was very quiet though the parking lot was full. We did not use the pool, but it looked as though others were enjoying it. Check out was fast and again a nice clerk asking about our stay. We did not take advantage of the breakfast but again a lot of others were enjoying it. We will book again definitely.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The room was disgusting. The carpet had a strong odor and clearly had not been properly cleaned or maintained. To make matters worse, I saw a roach crawling on the wall in the middle of the night. This was completely unacceptable and made me feel very uncomfortable. I will never stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

The room was very clean and the staff was wonderful. Unfortunately we had very little to NO hot water! Even though we let the water run ahead of time, it was barely warm and turned to freezing within 5 minutes in the shower. We would definitely NOT recommend staying at the Anchor Inn! Clearly all of the owners’ profits and resources are used for the adjacent Marina Bay Hotel.
