We paid £170 for a double room for one night so to be honest, we weren't expecting to arrive at a rather grim building that looked like a TravelLodge. Also, having walked from the car park to reception in torrential rain to book in, we weren't expecting to then have to go back outside to find our room in another building! 😐 However, the staff were all very smiley and helpful, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable and a good buffet breakfast, including hot food, was available. A loud and very clunky lift was available for visitors with a disability. Just to note...we thought we had booked a room at our family wedding venue, the Cotswold HOUSE Hotel and Spa in nearby Chipping Camden - apparently this is a common mistake with bookings!😕 The hotels are not at all comparable in terms of style/facilities although my sister paid the same for a ground floor double bedroom with lounge, dining area and fancy bathroom in the 'right' hotel. I am guessing that because the Cotswold Hotel and Spa has a golf club attached, that pushes the price up.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. We had a complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise as we visited for our wedding anniversary. Very clean and spacious room with a big comfy bed. Only 1 small negative - we wish the room had a fridge.

Overall was good but not walkable to Any villages and bathroom was too small and shower only in the room we stayed in. Plus was a washer but had to air dry all the clothes so limited what you could wash.
