Stayed here for 2 night. Easy check in. Close to the high speed train station. The breakfast buffet is simple but good. Some nice eateries just downstairs. Easy access to the city center.

For English speaking person, a little difficult but staff are very helpful with phone apps etc helping. Breakfast is very comprehensive and easy to select many different styles of breakfast taste. Excellent.

very noisy, room doors slamming at all hours. busy area of Chongqing. ads said 24 room service, they did not. English is spoken but not understood. reason we stayed there was the room service because we don't speak or read chinese making hard to eat out without help. very disappointed because it is run by IHG and they are normally fantastic. not here. they did nothing about in house noise, walls are super thin. not a good stay

Carpet can be improved
Not easy to find and not recommended for senior travellers. Public transportation is available but you need to walk; eg 10-15 mins walk to the nearest metro station at the Shin Kong place, at Jiazhou station. Incidentally, Shin Kong place is a beautiful shopping and food complex, which is worth a visit. The front desk speaks little English but I suggest they can improve by having better knowledge of their local area. The room is clean and bright but the carpet (colour) makes it look tired. If the Holiday Inn Express logo colour is used, it will improve greatly.

I stay here frequently when in Chongqing China. It is a good basic western style hotel.The front desk does speak a little English. If you can speak a little Mandarin or are with someone who does, it makes a big difference. The hotel staff is then quite responsive.

The hotel is surrounded by motorways and there is no double glazing in any of the rooms. The restaurant had a good mix of European and Chinese food for breakfast. The cleaners were excellent and the room was always well presented. Sadly the reception staff were not interested in helping anyone who had any issues.

Good personal trip
I had a wonderful two-day vacation staying at Holiday Inn Express in Chongqing. The hotel is very clean and the room is spacious. The only thing that is inconvenient is getting a taxi from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Area over bridge to the left has a great family street and excellent hot pots, Old time kitchen and Fish hot pot place great. Rem Rem Ri grocery store to the left of hotel was fabulous

Hotel is clean and good. The only thing not very satisfactory is the service. They do not send stuffs to the room. When I ask for an adapter, I had to collect it myself at the counter. Location is good, with restaurants and roadside food nearby. Also, shopping area is just a stone throw away.

A/C issues with the room
self-adjusted the thermostat to 18 degrees Celsius. However, room temperature was stuck at 25 degrees Celsius. Complained to the front desk on the first day but no improvement was noticed on the next two nights. Aside from the room temp, everything was just okay. Location was near a local supermarket.

The air condition was faulty because the room temperature never got down below 26.5C even after several complaints. The in-house "engineer" was absolutely no help.
